The window snapping is super nice. My pc and user experience was smooth right away. I noticed my font was fuzzy but I reloaded my UI and it cleared up. Sorry to the people who have had a subpar experience.
I didn't notice any leg difference on my 6 computers, I did get a little box flash once I think tho. Nothing big - tbh I wouldn't have noticed anything happened.
I told them years ago to fix their trash UI and put some work into making the game easier to just pick up and play in like 2016... this is NOT what i meant lol. Reinvigorating EverQuest: A Message To Daybreak. I don't think they will ever give the game what it needs.
I'm sure these things will be fixed with time, as much as it sucks it was rolled out like this. As was said the UI backend was what got the majority of the work dumped into it, making future updates and fixes easier in the future (hopefully). Either way thanks a ton for doin The Nameless' work making info about this ancient artifact so accessible.
hey man any chance of redoing the video. with the music off or lower then your voice. TV youtube annoyingly always plays the background music way louder then it should. thanks for making the videos though. just the music is to loud this time for me.
Yeah i tried to play EQ after that new UI. I lagged so bad if i used my wiz port i had to restart my laptop. The lag from a teleport group bind to my wizards bind location crashed my laptop. The laptop completely froze up. One time i waited about 5 minutes and a couple characters finally got the timed out screen. But my laptop was completely unable to handle a group teleport. So after trying a few times i gave up. I haven't logged into EQ now for a few weeks. Im actually now starting to not miss the game nearly as much anymore. Probably for the best. Eq was getting expensive getting several accounts to gold.
I'm glad i caught your first version of your test update video before you rescinded the maidens eye bit. I don't think daybreak deserves any held punches when it comes to the critique of this franchise. Thousands of dollars and decades of loyal subscription justify all the gripes. They lost my business years ago, but that's just my opinion.
like @Bonk_Bonkus had acknowledged, the UI backend had a ton of attention on this stretch of the project. Regardless, the end result is that they pushed a patch that broke more than fix(or in this case, the goal was to remain the same). It was acknowledged in the bugs forum, and they had chosen to move forward with putting it on live. Even if they plan on hot-patching it within the week, this is still not something a subscribing playerbase should have to tolerate.
This is so disappointing. It really does feel like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to talent at this studio; at least with whomever is making these changes. I'm really not sure who in their right mind would think to release this in such a state.

so since the changes to the ui system i have found my self getting headaches dealing with the blurriness i have to take a break constantly to avoid it

yeah, this UI change has been bad, getting ghost items staying on screen when moving items. on top of the FPS drop. Agree with you, disappointed!
I have the pleasure of dealing with the all white inventory screen. Default UI. Can't read or see any of my stats, coin, etc.

Honestly the UI was buttcheeks. Huge turn off for new players. Fiddling with that uninspired, ugly, plain ass looking mess of a UI.
