Also, Usain had to run four rounds while lyles only ran 3
He also ran 4 rounds of 100m which culminated in a 9.58. So despite all those rounds and running so fast over 100m, Usain STILL ran a 19.19 into a headwind

Bolt’s record not a million miles away? Need to look at the numbers well. It really surprises me how people even think of comparing Lyles to what Bolt has done. He doesn’t come any close to the times Bolt has reached. Let him beat Blake’s record before the Bolt conversation even comes up. When it comes to the 100m, he places No.24 which is incredibly far behind. His body physics doesn’t just allow him to beat that record. Bolt was better at whatever Lyles is able to do plus the height which is an added advantage. Lyles has been very brilliant but the Bolt conversation should be brought up he won’t beat any of the two records.

According to the interview with Bolt and Michael Johnson's quote of an other interview with him in this video: th-cam.com/video/_vlVvxypZJ4/w-d-xo.html
Bolt said that his training wasn't as good as the previous year and he was rather tired on that day.
Personally I do also think that Bolt's high top speed and long strides would lend itself more towards performing relatively better in the 200m (not 2x the time, but less), than a fast starting, short distance runner would.

It would be most interesting to watch if the US National Records fall with the awesome line up that includes Noah Lyles, Norman, Fred Kerley, Knighton, Laird, Coleman, etc. Both in the 100m and 200m.

10 year more and Phelps will dont hold any records. But 50 years more i dont think anyone cant break Bolt record. Phelps is legend but Bolt is legend of legend. with marathon, good shoe can help, but in 100-200-400m, good shoes just help a bit.

My man was laying tread. Hard to believe anyone can win a 200m race by half a second.

Молодец. У мужчин есть вероятность побития МР. А вот женский 21-34 аж в 1988 году🤷‍♂️ну явно заграни возможностей. Плюс ее болезнь и непонятная смерть. Но не пойман, не вор
