On my own I usually listen to stuff like jazz, fusion, prog rock\metal, math rock and the more shreddy side of guitar instrumentals, ie. stuff with lots of notes and chord changes. That being said, it's always nice to take a break every once in a while and chek out some more atmospheric\minimalist stuff, especially brooding, foreboding stuff like this.

the music is the only standout thing about the division

@@TenbondOfficial It seems to have mixed reception at best, though I haven't been keeping in touch with the series. Boomerific as it may sound, the last Tom Clancy's stuff I had actually played were the first handful Splinter Cell games. Nowadays all I play is Killer Instinct and The Darkest Dungeon when I have some time for vidya.

i dont blame you, the average ubisoft title is cash grab with just enough story to justify it's inception.

@@TenbondOfficial Yeah, that's about the same impression I get from most Assassin's Creed installments, or from your average "cinematic" walking simulator type games Naughtydog had made popular. Everybody's gushing about how we're living in a golden age of story-driven video games, and yet the plot and dialogue in TLoU2 or the last AC and Tomb Raider games are about as melodramatic and shallow as those of a '90s Brazilian soap opera.
I'm not asking for all AAA games to have Planescape: Torment levels of deepness and substance, that'd be impossible with how squeamish people are about non-voiced dialogue these days, but if you're gonna have your gameplay play second fiddle to your story, at least make it so it doesn't feel like it was written by an cinema studies graduate who couldn't make it into Hollywood and is bitter about being stuck making video games.

I'm hardly a division guy. But I miss games having atmosphere. It feels like too often games don't wanna slow it down

Every game nowadays focuses on graphics and player freedom and its always GO GO GO GO GO ! I want a game with story arcs , i want a game with in depth lore and fleshed out storylines and characters, i want what old games gave us in a newer perspective , imagine the story and lore of fallout new vegas being brought to life with fallout 76 graphics and mechanics it would be MIND blowing!

I have to disagree on one point, player freedom.
The ADHD go go go type gameplay is the result of less player freedom.
Keep you moving so you don't notice the lack luster design, empty world, and lower the difficulty so you don't die as much and potentially get frustrated.
Wouldn't want us to feel inadequate and put the game down for good.

@@TenbondOfficial totally agree. Games are now made for people who just Plain aren't gamers. As dumb as that sounds. It's most certainly true. Perhaps we'll see a Renaissance in the next years

we are in a 2nd crash.
flood of lack luster games over saturating the market.
once beloved franchises (like halo), are being ruined for the sake of a quick dollar.
PC and Nintendo will probably be the only survivors of it, like last time.
Cheating in multiplayer, unless something is done about it soon, I fully believe will kill multiplayer altogether. Might encourage the rise of campaign centric games again, or not, since it's harder to live service story based games.

@@TenbondOfficial its hard to predict when. As long as games are being funded for political and ideological reasons. Esg black Rock that type of thing. Games will keep bombing. Till they run out of money. Which my never happen. But I believe it will happen probably by the end of the decade. There's only so many players left. Ubisoft is likely not long left for this world. Idk about Nintendo. I don't think they're immune to these things. Certainly resistant. But once these people get in it'll snowball. There's been people in the periphery around Nintendo who are sold out for a while. Localisers, third party developers that kind of thing. The new pokemon have certainly seen this. Albeit not as badly as Sony or western games. Zelda arguably too. But the games at the end of the day are still games. And made to be fun. Even if I don't enjoy them. The sad thing is the sheer size of the industry. Last time there was a vrash the industry wasn't even close to this size. There's been a massive noticeable drop off in consumer spending. And a very noticeable change in game quality on average. To the point even normies are waking up to this. Despite this they still make ridiculous money compared to the industries golden age. EA has been at the forefront of this decline since the 2000's. At this point they're arguably not the worst offender. Xbox or ubisoft. Possibly Sony. Activision too. But I believe Xbox bought them. Along with blizzard so.

I really liked the concept of the division and the game play was decent. Just sucked that the developers gave up on it so soon and the updates were mediocre.
This music is also giving me eve online vibes.

Yeah, Summer felt really weird to be honest. The overall atmosphere in Div 2 (which I still play here & there) just falls completely short when comparing it to Div 1, that's for sure.
