Note to U2: I've been playing your music for 17 years, as a 11 yr old. I'm sorry if Michael Jackson's death forced me to put my love for you on hold thanks to my mourning period. At least my fandom resumed on my 15th birthday until Covid struck, The delta variant made us drift apart again but as of today im coming back again for more.

I wouldn't have survived high school without choir. I wouldn't have survived the rest of these last 40 years without music (even though now my voice is broken thanks to neck surgery). Even though I don't sing as well as I used to, I can't survive without music, and U2 has been a huge part of that survival.
I'm so grateful music education was still a part of public school life when I was a kid. I have never understood why anyone ever thought cutting music to cut costs was a good idea. Music is vital to the soul, a God-given gift to us to connect us to what's real. Let's keep pushing for music education in schools!

I have to honestly say that learning to play the bass by myself has transcended my life. There were so many days when people would laugh at me when they first heard me playing...but I knew it was just a matter of time before I could learn to rhythmically play without a teacher or lessons. 10 years later I'm finally realizing that dream.
