Interesting use of different symbolism in this video. The architecture is pure 1930's era Stalinism with the "wedding cake" style buildings that were built in Moscow during the 1920's-1950's. The huge towering building you see in a lot of shots with the statue on top is actually the planned 1360 foot tall "The Palace of the Soviets" "The Palace of the Soviets was a project to construct an administrative center and a congress hall in Moscow, Russian near the Kremlin, on the site of the demolished Cathedral of Christ the Savior" The factory that the workers was trudging off to is actually the Battersea Power Station in England and is currently decommissioned. The propaganda posters are pure Socialist Realism but with English instead of Russian. The helmets worn by the guards are WW2 German to invoke some obvious tyrannical themes. But the tanks rolling in are WW1 British models. The ironic use of words like FREEDOM! on the buildings is an homage to 1984 with the Ministry of Truth and Ministry of Peace being the opposite of what they really stand for. I'm sure many people get a false sense that this is some symbolic message about capitalism and working as a slave for some big boss. Well it's not. It's simple tyranny. Because nearly all the visuals in this video are taken directly out of Communist Russia of the actual past. And lastly.... fucking awesome soundtrack from 2Steps.
