Revenue receipts are basically government income. Tax and non tax revenue are two main components of revenue receipts. Tax is compulsory payments to government by public. there is no quid pro quo relationship between tax payer and tax authority .generally objective of tax is welfare .Non tax revenue is not tax but government income.
