The movie basically turns on the audience,. That's what I loved about the film despite it's over the top , some pedestrian writing for courtroom scenes .
The brilliance of this movie was it incorporated a few of recent socially relevant incidents in to the script and linked those issues to create a powerful content..
True, and also inserted it's own propoganda into it cleverly. Brilliant movie otherwise. Much needed in today's times - "don't fall for headlines"

I don't know if Achara has noticed yet, that even though it's a Malayalam movie here, rather than making every character speak Malayalam different characters are speaking their own mother tongue such as Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, etc in this...
You won't see much of that in other regional films...

Because the movie is named "Jana Gana Mana".. Meaning all the people of this country and hence they have tried to cover many languages.
How can Achara differentiate Indian languages? She isn't Indian
It's actually happening in ram nagar, banglore.. So the circumstance Obviously need talking of different languages. And Most of the malayalam movies shows tamilians as goons or mere thugs. Some Malayalee directors are discriminative towards tamilians.

This movie scenes are originally happened from true Incidents in Telangana state, India
It is a mix of many cases - The encounter killings in Andhra, Institutional Harrassment and Killings is a mix of a case in Hyderabad (a dalit called Rohith Vemula) and Chennai ( A muslim girl in Chennai - the professor name there was Sudarsan - possible inspiration of name in the movie ), Multiple cases of media doing a mockery of justice in the name of debates etc.
prithviraj sukumaran is the finest and most successful actor in india his every movie is successful in box office.

Its based on a Real story happened in Hyderabad telangana google disha encounter case
A similar encounter actually happened last year in India where some grape accused were shot early morning
Entire country was celebrating that day thinking justice has been delivered
A few months back the report of the investigating committee concluded that the 4 accused were not the actual perpetrators & the rushed encounter was a way to save face as people were very outraged about that case
To silence the outrage, or may be to save someone of power, the police caught & encountered some random civilians
These findings were not shown by any media bcoz all of them were celebrating last year & accepting tis fact would mean accepting their mistake, which our media never does
A similar case also happened in the 1980s in India where a grape convict was hanged but later it turned out to be a false conviction
A few years back a man was stripped naked & thrashed to death due to a false grape accusation
Even these days an innocent boy has been trapped in a case just bcoz the actual perpetrator used his picture as a decoy for social media profile
And India is infamous for false convictions specially in theft & grape cases
These things look good & noble in movies, but have some very problematic real-life implications as feelings of the mob can be easily used for manipulation & abuse of power, specially when female victims are involved

The dialogue by judge stating " We can just tell they committed rape by looking at them" happened in real. Do Google Hyderabad Encounter even the ACP names were matched
