That also happens in the Cote d'Ivoire. The realtor doesn't have a car! If you don't have a car, they expect you to pay for a taxi! Its crazy! But, in the Cote D'Ivoire, most landlords don't require payment of a year upfront. You can usually negotiate and pay first, second and last month rent and a deposit. But, its negotiable.
We had someone look into a place for us and we paid in advance for two year lease. we paid 24000GHS (we sent like $3500 USD) (my husband and I are renting a whole house with electric fence and a big backyard). We also look at apartments as well but because we had bad experiences dealing with neighbors in NYC we decided for a more isolated space. We just spoke with our owner of the house directly and we are renewing the lease but now he want 45000GHS because he said he was ripped off. (which is now like a little over 4500USD) . WE got water but not hot and electricity we have to pay monthly bill for. The water pressure is too low for a hot water heater where we at and we had to buy two new ceiling fans and replace some of the outlets due to it being spoiled. we had a plumber and electrician come and install the washer machine and stove for us. You 2 are just so wonderful.
First, I pray that you are feeling better! Secondly, thank you so much for this vital information. The two of you are looking like y’all face are thinner. Y’all are looking good. Yes, we started researching for apartments but we warned not to select an apartment until we’ve arrive. Again, thanks for sharing!
Very informative video and sis I love your hair. This is good to share and help one another to improve in certain areas I don't see anything wrong with what you said to her.
I just subscribed to your channel, I’m in Ghana also, I bought land from Aleta Israel! I’m going to need place to stay in Ghana, I’m definitely saving! I’m definitely coming to see for myself! Do you all know any houses for rent?❤️🙏🏽
Thank you for subscribing and Congratulations on your land purchase! There are quite a bit of listings for rent, but again you would want to see those for yourself if at all possible.
Peace and blessings family I definitely agree there is opportunity for improvement if the owners of such apartments are available and open to receive. I would like your perspective now that you are boots on the ground, would you say it is somewhat easier when you have a supportive spouse in making such a move? Do you believe you would have made the journey if you were single sis? I am not hearing too much about the single's journey or experiences in this transition. My initial visit was solo but then again I had a contact on the other end. By the end of today you will have 1k subbies. Thank you for all you do and will do family.
Thank you for watching! Yes, being on the same page as a couple was a must for this process. We had to agree where and how we were going to live, agree to adhere to some type of budget etc. I couldn’t imagine doing this if we were not in the same page. Moving here can be a huge culture shock and it helps to have that built in support when you’re a couple. To answer your next question. Yes, I would have moved as a single person if the Most High called me to move in my singleness. I’m one who dies a lot of research and financial planning, so I definitely would have done that prior to coming. I believe there is a huge diaspora community of singles who meet up quite frequently also. I hope this helps
Hi there. Thank you for your comment, so I can assist further, can you clarify for me what price you’re referring to? The viewing fee I’m seeing is between 100-300 Cedis which is equivalent to 10-30 US dollars. Are you referring to something specific. I can do a conversion for you. Let me know
What I mean is every time you price something...you know like apartments...houses..a jug of milk whatever it is so that we don't have to go to google and look it up ...When you give a price...if you say 3000 cedis I would kindly appreciate it if you tell us in USD ...I only ask cause some of us are lazy at looking up things...lol...Thank you
@@jayajaya788 Lol!! Yes of course I can do that. In fact, it’s always my intent, but I forget! So, thank you for the feedback and the reminder. I got you
