Just seen this post probably too late to comment but I had the option of a wrap when I picked up my classic 500 I also like the look and it is very 50's. I had a BSA 650 twin that was wrapped from the factory. Good Job !!

don't have an opinion as tothe looks, however 51 tears of motorcycling has let me observe that while this stuff might hide discolouration, it also holds enough moisture to destroy the chrome into a nasty pitted mess in a few years, so removal is accompanied by header pipe replacement, stil, we all should make our bikes look the way we like, ride safe keep up the good work. I enjoy many of the rides you post, I live on the next island south, and Tasmania reminds me of some of the central north island around Rotorua, especially the road to blue lake .all the best from 42degrees south

Yeah for sure! With the powertronic it should run rich enough to prevent to much discoloration but it's not the highest quality chrome so it would pit and discolour fairly easily. I love the wrapped look!
Really like the retro look of bikes, wrapping the pipes definitely improved overall appearance, also in keeping with the theme and era of the bike. Enjoyed the video. A new Subscriber hear and pleased I came across your channel. Thanks

Hi Taz!. Bit of a subjective look lol. Can't make my mind up if I like it or not ha!. From some angles it looks great. Only problem is if you change your mind at a later date the header pipe will look a bit grim lol. Can't make my mind up this or ceracote. Thanks one again for the effort another cool vid mate.

Why thank you sir, I do love a wrapped exhaust. Did the speedmaster ones a bit ago too and they look great. Drilled the end baffle on those pipes on the speedy from the your america and they sound sweet too a nice note!
Nice one mate 👌 I like it, I used the Platinum wrap on mine so when it was burnt in and lost its shine it looks like Hessian sack cloth which has fooled a few into thinking it's a fire hazard 😂 always got a crowd around mine and nobody said wrap is shit.. I guess if it looks right it doesn't ...now on a cb125 flat tracker..yeah can sometimes look suspect..but not on ours 😎
I had good long look at a few of your photos on Instagram before commiting! Lol yeah I went grey to try and match the graphite! I also had a roll sitting around from the cb125 flat tracker I was going to build.....😜 cheer mate! 👍😁
Glad you love it Taz definitely the main thing!. It would look fantastic on the wife's battle green classic as it had a chrome exhaust like yours and polished engine cases. It's my bike im not sure about as I have the all Matt black stealth version. Iris growing on me though . Hard to know what to do on the stealth versions.
Oh yeah would be harder on the murdered out stealth version mate but it looks cool imo on the battle green. Mikey the Pikey has done it and it really suits! I'm jealous your a two RE family!!
In addition to the nostalgic 50's look, how about changing the fuel injection to properly old school carburettor with a low idle sometime later in the future ;)

You could try ceracote a ceramic coating or even high temp engine paint. I've never had any trouble removing wrap myself and pretty much run it on every bike I've had! Im not really into coated or sprayed pipes I like the wrap look but as I said it's a very much each to there own! And thanks! 👍👍

The 2017 Classic 500 I bought new already had this installed. If Hrundi (the name of mine) didn't have it I also would have installed it.

No, i dont! Wrap smokes after its applied and i applied it wet so it steams as well!

The powertronic is awesome the more I work with it the more impressed I am. It's really transformed the bike!
