Oh, now I see. I wasn't aware of the original design until today. I've no idea why the driver's cab was rebuilt. IIRC, this is not a locomotive from the original stock, but was bought much later. Perhaps this is why they obviously hadn't the museum character in mind, when they altered the loco.
