Why won't Yamaha offer a street legal version? I don't want to jump through hoops just to get it plated. Would love to stick with Yamaha and step up from the current 250 to a 450 sumo.
i cant be the only person wondering how yamaha got this design. function aside it looks like they went to area 51 for some ideas..from experience yamaha's are fantastic bikes, but i want a dirtbike not a spaceship
I wouldn't mind riding it because they did some good work to it, but its not my favorite brand and it doesn't look that good. I don't like the new gas cap or funny looking plastics, there's a big hole where the air box is supposed to be, the side number plates look to small, I don't like the new wrap around exhaust, fat bars, or how they slimmed down the sub-frame. They gotta get there shit together when it comes to looks and convenience for when you want to take the exhaust off or put gas in it (no offence Yamaha). Atleast its not a KTM but I like Honda and Kawasaki and Suzuki a lot better not just because of looks though.
suzuki performance IMO is better, but you cant beat Yamaha's reliability at the end of the day. Bullet proof engine that keeps on running, will get your moneys worth for sure.
