Both cities are very close to my heart. Basically I am a Indori but spent 3 good years in Nagpur. Both cities have there own specialty. You forgot to give compliment to Indore BRTS. It is one of the successful BRTS in India.

I have been living in nagpur from last four year and before that 24 years in indore . Both cities are best in their own perspective .
1. Nagpur has better health facility than indore.
2. Indore's markets are more open and bigger ,people in indore are more adoptive to changes as compared to nagpur .
3. Civil infrastructure is better in nagpur , offcourse credit goes to gadkari sahab. Better and wider roads with well defined footpaths, number of bridges are more in nagpur .
4. People in nagpur are not very fond of public transport , that why we see huge number of two wheelers on road .hopefully metro ,once fully operational ,people will change .indore dont have metro , doesnt need either ,as there are plenty of options like city buses, i buses, magic and then city van. They togethar can tackle indore. Yes the metro construction is in swing .
4. Indore is food paradise and people are mad for food. Thats why markets are open till late night and there is huge movement of people even at 2 am , hence make it safe for girls. Nagpur on the other hand ,is not that dynamic, market is close after 9pm ,except mominpura.
5. Number of malls and multiplex are more in indore , as people love to spend in malls . On the other hand nagpur still not abopted mall, and have fewer multiplex ,that too, are not well maintained and people like to purchase item from bardi
6. In terms of number of passenger handle, indore airport is bigger than nagpur airport , but nagpur has MRO ,and going to be a aerospace hub in upcoming years.
7. Indore has no match to nagpur , in terms of railway connectivity . Nagpur is a big and important junction. Mumbai -hawda and delhi- chennai line crosses here.
8 . In terms of cleanliness, indore is way ahead of nagpur . People in nagpur are not obsessed for their city . You will find people pissing off in open . Indore scores heavy lead here as it is more clean ,structured and public toilets are available at every 1 km.
9. Food and real state are cheaper in indore than nagpur. Average 2BHK cost 30 lakh in indore whereas it goes to 40 lakh in nagpur.
Overall ,indore is more vibrant , dynamic , whereas nagpur is more conventional.youth will prefer indore whereas middleaged and seniors will prefer nagpur.

Nagpur apni jagah aur Indore apni jagah but being a Nagpurian let me share my disappointments which is my opinion I am not bothered if you like or dont like , roads / cleanliness are disappointing at many places still , villages still has no washrooms, street lights are not available in many villages and highways, international companies has failed to enter Nagpur big time especially with Mihan / Boeing all such big names. Unemployment one of the biggest factors sadly ignored. Nagpur airport left unattended to die Nagpur being centre of India sadly only two airplanes are directly connected Air Arabia Nagpur to Sharjah and Qatar Airways Nagpur to Qatar, very very sad . It should have direct flights to Bangkok Dubai , Georgia, Baku, Europe etc but sadly NO. Railway stations are disappointing at the very beginning right from the entrance . Deekshabhoomi such a beautiful place not highlighted , Taj Bagh Dargah , Telankhedi Temple , Churches , Gurudwara's all in shambles, poverty around such places are maximum . Telankhedi lake , Ambazari lake and Khindsi can be real tourist attraction places which will generate revenue, good for native people and for outsiders but all ignored completely . Maharajbagh Zoo and Seminary Hills Zoo completely ignored and left to die . Now hopes are there on Gorewada New Zoo sounds promising but cannot believe till it comes alive. National parks has been ignored as well big time, Media is just making fight over Hindu and Muslims diverting innocent minds, not letting the city grow, not using the new generation potential to the maximum, to make worst whats app , Face book other mind hijacking things are diverting people s mind . Hindus and Muslims cannot be divided no matter what , there is no fights between these two religions but just media , politicians for their self gains they distract people . If we stay united and work in the right direction our Nagpur and its people will be on top of the world but I wish every one would have thought so . City , Nations , country is built buy people not by politicians and hate mongers . Nagpur has produced people like Fadnavis , Gadkari , Anees, Anil and many such other dignitaries but sorry Nagpur is way behind cities like Pune , Mumbai , Delhi and many others. I can go on but no use until we all unite , until we all work for own Nagpur immaterial of religion , caste creed and sex .
