    It's been 5 years since I quit all the social media except TH-cam. It has been liberating

    Been off social media for 2 years now. All socials are either unused or deleted. Since getting off social media I've felt more peace of mind, less depressed and anxious, less comparison to othets & more privacy of my life. Social media should only be used as a tool and not for personal use or your personal blog. Get off social media and I promise you, you wont want to go back

      I completely agree with your comment. I'm trying to get my children mother off of TikTOXIC and InstaFAKE. Every since she's been addicted to these social media sites, her life has drastically decreased in less than 6 months. She was completely unaware of the dangers (seducing spirits) of social media and the opening of demonic portals that leads to ruin. As The Holy Scriptures states "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy having their conscience seared with a hot iron (1 Timothy Ch 4 verses 1-2 KJV).

    I gave up Facebook 10 months ago and will never go back. It was nothing but a bunch of gossip and I was doing nothing but comparing myself to other people's good stuff. Now I feel better being at one with my own way of thinking!

    I quit social media a year ago but I still use TH-cam and it takes up so much of my time so I’m still working on quitting TH-cam. It’s my last step

      I want to quit TH-cam too, but there is a lot of educational/professional content too here, and that's what's hard for me. I believe will find a more balanced, productive way
      I've tried website blockers, but still find myself watching more suggested videos, after watching the informative one. Relying on the Will power isn't good enough I suppose

    • @rishamarcellana
      @rishamarcellana  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Exactly Frank, there's a lot of unique and helpful content here on TH-cam and that's something! Understand your phase by appreciating that you're trying and you're learning along the way :) Website blockers and reminders are supposed to be helpful but as you said, it ain't enough unless you're fully disciplined and committed. Goodluck in your journey :))

    • @rishamarcellana
      @rishamarcellana  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The challenge here is to only watch what's beneficial for you. Try watching informative videos that are helpful and educational let alone it being just entertaining. And one more key trick, try hiding TH-cam on your phone and try to put it on a folder or 2nd page where you can't see it easily. I'll create a video about how to not check your phone all the time ❤️

    Great video! I've been questioning my relationship with social media for a long time now. Sometimes I'll quit for like a week and I just feel so much better about myself but then I end up going back and feeling miserable all over again. I admire people who have a health relationship with it but somehow I haven't figured out how to do the same, so I'm considering quitting again and maybe journaling about the experience to understand myself better.

    • @rishamarcellana
      @rishamarcellana  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I also thought about that many times before - I lack discipline at most times so you're not alone :) As I was saying, you don't really have to quit but maybe you need to take a quick break from it and monitor your offline hours. Rooting for you Júlia ❤️

    I still have my facebook on, but I don't open it. I attempt several times to deactivate my fb acc. for a long time. But I can't, because my family used to look up some memories I've posted in my account. What I did is knowing and mastering the art of discipline on how I'll used social media. And I thinks it works for me now. I'm happy and I feel the peace. I'm now out of the pace of my life in where I need to follow trends. I'm sure, to say that I'm living my life better and happier. I live in reality. I became more productive, I read books, do journalling, going outside every afternoon or morning, being more organized, and many more. I also start the thing, I wanted to do a long time ago. And that's to cook for a meal, for our snack, and more. Before I thought I don't have so much of time, but as I distanced myself in socmed, I've realized that I have so much of time. 🥺💗💗

      Somehow it's recommended by TH-cam since it's linked to previous videos you enjoyed watching. If the contents being suggested are pretty depressing, I encourage you to take a quick break and not indulge yourself too much in watching videos. If it gets triggered while watching it already, remove yourself from the situation and know that you can do better :)) Hope that helps, Jackson!

    Question. If what you said is how you really feel about social media, then why did you link your socials on the description? I also saw a pop-up of your Instagram on this video. Can you kindly explain this to me? It seems that you eventually plan to return to your socials, don't you?

    Best decision I ever made since 2015! I was in the right place at the right time in that moment. I quit social media bcuz It doesn't give me anything or satisfaction to make me feel better. Tbh, I am feeling much better now since I quit a lot of bad things just like video games, social media, fappening, poor diet, lack of sleep, getting too emotional.
