I’m kind of sick of people criticizing his posture and technique. It clearly works for him, and it’s what’s natural to him. Why would that need to change?
It’s not that it’s “wrong” per say, but he plays in an incredibly tense way, which he’s made work for him, but that’s just going to cause lots of health issues down the road. Perhaps he can handle it better than most, but it will take a toll on him eventually. But regardless he pulls it off so well. Good for him

While yes it can and probably will cause health issues down the road, to be honest here, what fucking doesn't anymore? At least this won't be to the level that NFL players bodies break down (shouldn't be more realistically).

I got the chance to say to Chris during Warped this year. Super humble dude. He seemed kinda excited when I told him I saw one of the Drummers Annonymous videos of him.
People say he uses way too much arm. But when you play a full drum set. It just just looks like that. He is actually using wrist strokes. Just pay close attention to his wrists. But Chris is a beast. He also uses the push pull technique.

DrumsAndMetal DrumsAndMetal it’s possible to sit and use your phone with good posture. I’m doing it right now. Most people, however, don’t. This drummer’s neck posture hurts to watch. Sitting with neck constantly angled down like that can be hard on the neck/shoulders/upper back.
Next to Cameron Losch, this guy is phenomenal. The technical aspect to his playing is pinpoint. This guy can literally be frozen still like he is and entertain. That’s hard to do.

The reason they havent given drummer of the year award to chris turner is because its unfair for a foreign species to be in the same competition as humans. Plus he'd just win everytime if he was human

It's the holy china, it looks like a 17 in this video but he uses a 17 and 19 (and one of the new mini ones) in the new recordings. I know that he usually uses a smaller setup for touring
