- Matthew Tkachuk tied it late with his franchise-high 11th goal of the playoffs and Carter Verhaeghe fired home the OT-winner as the Florida Panthers rallied to defeat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 earning their first win in the Stanley Cup Final.

Penalty minutes were 14/16 someone just hates the Panthers at Sportsnet
I think Vegas blocked a lot of shots that never got through. They need to fire it more and make hill give up a rebound. Their coach said during the game that their 5 on 5 like their strong suit. Anyway, the penalties they took made Bob have to really save their bacon. He kept them in this game.

Vegas weak spot is they will play for the win instead of sealing the deal happened in game 4 with Dallas
Getting outplayed is the key to victory for the panthers in these playoffs.
@@collasalbot7900 pretty simple, they go into D mode. Some times they do it early in a game go up by one and play to keep that lead.

No team got outplayed in this game, but Vegas is really solid, Vegas i no joke sort of speak. Being under against Vegas, you can see how difficult it is, it took Florida one extra man to get a goal, but when they did they did it within seconds, which shows you how tight this final is.
Carter Verhaege has a very underrated wrist shot. Montour's favorite spot to shoot is in the middle of slot and it always goes in.

Hockey atmosphere is insane all over the world. NHL and Europe hockey leagues are growing fast and I love that! It's so great to see loyal fans who don't leave their seats like the fans of Miami Heat (NBA) when the other team leads the game or the series ; )
tbf a 15 point lead in basketball with 3 minutes to go is basically a 3 goal game in hockey. idk how many fans would still be there if it was 4-1
@@WapitalismandWreedom I'm not against basketball but the game is structured differently. I go regularly in the arena here in Europe and even if it's 4-1 for the others, your team will use all effort to minimise the gap until the last minute. If they don't score, they still don't want to concede another goal. And the fans don't go home, only if it's maybe 7-0. But this gap you rarely find in a competitive league ; )

I know lots of people say soccer is a boring sport but if you watch the right league, have the passion for the team you cheer for (also cheering on your local team), and knowing the structure of how local clubs can qualify for international tournaments through domestic competitions and national tournaments

Washington was down 2 games to Columbus in1st round and 1 to Pittsburgh in 2nd. Down 3-2 in final against Tampa and roared back and blanked Tampa in 6 and 7. THEN BEAT VEGAS!

Флориду с победой конечно, но вот на что обратил внимание- за три первых большинства пантеры нанесли только ОДИН бросок😳. Вегас же за свои три первых большинства забросил дважды. Флориде срочно надо подтянуть реализацию лишнего и хватать глупые( а они именно такими и были) удаления. Иначе в следующем матче может так и не повезти.
Плохое большинство Флориды - это не новость. Хотя бы такие глупые нарушения убрать - уже будет хорошо

Other than that I didn't think he played well over all. I didn't see any huge hits by him and he turned over the puck a lot. He always tries to do way more than his skill set allows for.

panthers deserved that win...all three goals were even strength...while vegas goals were on a pp... this was a fast game with lots of movement and loved how the panthers always advance the puck no back passing...from a lifelongleafs fan...was worried about that hit on tkchuck as well..glad he is ok....isnt it ironic that he comes back to the game and gets the winning goal....

I watched Ryan Lomberg play as a kid. He has always been willing to take on anyone. So proud to see where he is now. USHL is a great league. If you didn't know they were kids before you watched a game, you would never think you were watching kids playing. My first hockey game I went to, didn't have glass, looked more like a fence. Same arena I watched Lomberg play!

Philly at the time was an Org that had zero faith in their goalkeeping, hence the carousel of keepers coming and going for a while, following whoever got hot. Sergei had one season of an .899 Sv% following a good rookie season, and despite him being young they immediately shipped him off because there are no second chances in Philly, heh. In the meantime Bryz was only one season removed from a year in Phoenix good enough for Vezina consideration and had decent numbers in 2011-12, so they went with whoever was playing well in the moment as usual.
I've had a beef to pick with how Philly handles their goalkeeping for like 2 decades now, lol, though it seems like they have gotten better about not being so reactionary with their goalie trades in recent years. Not that I've kept up with it super close lately. Maybe you can tell me how things are going now. =u=

Two outstanding teams laying it out there. Panthers need to stay out of the box more. I cannot believe the improvement defensively compared to last season for the Knights. And not just goaltending. The whole group on the ice is committed to keeping the puck out. Defensemen clog up the slot

Как ни парадоксально звучит, но начало овертайма в меньшинстве для Флориды сыграло хорошую службу, так как сразу настроило их на контригру и они без нужды не стали раскрываться! Собственно, весь ход и вся статистика матча подтверждают, что Вегас просто использует ошибки соперника. А Флорида косячить умеет!)) Маршессо, конечно же, достоин особого внимания как образец результативной командной игры - куда там МакДэвиду с Дразайтлом!)
это не вегас использует ошибки,это судьи используют провокации вегаса 7-2 это не нормальный счет а вот 3-2 это правильный , потому что это лучшие команды и счет с таким перевесом это только заслуга судейства
@@user-sn2ug9uf6d в прошлой игре еще в первом периоде из-за травмы выбыл Гудаш, что сразу привело к провалу в обороне (ну, нет резервов в защите у Флориды!)... а если в этих условиях еще и пытаться идти напролом против Вегаса, то вероятность того, что получишь от соперника результативную контригру, - очень высока...
А на судейство пенять - очень спорный аргумент.. В текущей игре судьи допустили только один косяк - с удалением в конце основного времени (нападающий просто на рулении и попытке уйти от столкновения потерял опору), - но другие результативные розыгрыши большинства Вегас зарабатывал как раз после необязательных удалений Флориды! Причем здесь судьи! Про прошлую игру, кстати, тоже можно сказать еще, что: Флорида победила, но.. в количестве штрафных минут!))

of course they tightened up the calls. they don't want crap getting out of control like it did before so they call everything. adapt or go home

@Justin Hannon Agreed, and I'm a Florida fan and have been saying the same thing. Our inability to stay out of the box while also converting on the PP is abysmal. It should have eliminated us long ago, but here we are.
If it would have been actually fair, both teams should have had about the same amount of penaltys. Imo the reffing was abhorrently biased in this game.

This whole team is babrovsky, he alone saved them from being down 3-0. It is now a series…a bit of pressure is now on Vegas. Now all Florida needs to do is hope babrovsky can continue his crazy form and they got a chance.
