Cool! I am 42. I have 18 almost 19 yrs experience outside the box. Although I am blind to the MPC eco world and recently acquired a One. I didn't get the +. Got a decent deal on a One w/a nice hard case. No difference except GB space. Needless to say I appreciate @samplingkings for the knowledge 🤟. Wow. I’m 54 and struggling with this MPC One Plus. I hooked up an external analog synth and I can’t record it. The audio works though. I’m maintaining patience because it’s worth it. I haven’t even got to sequencing drums

I got my One in mid-2020, and it's been sitting gathering dust because I had issues figuring out the different modes and settings I'm an old guy in a geezer band and we're having trouble finding a living human drummer that was worth a shit. Drum machines just weren't giving me the necessity of designing my own beats and being able to call them up in performance, and other tutorial videos had me scratching my head as to how to navigate the MPC One. I thought this was the ONE... that would solve my issues (lol, sorry for the pun). It wasn't the one until your wonderful and powerful video. Halfway through I was able to program a 12 bar blues beat that sounded very realistic and usable. Thank you thank you thank YOU! I now know how to add vocal harmonies to the programs, basic mixing, recording other instruments... I was almost ready to sell it because I was so lost and it was fairly expensive toy for an old fart like me. I'm in my late 60s, and into prog rock so most beat machines wouldn't have the intricate sequences needed for original songmaking. I agree with others in the comments here: Akai Pro should shoot you a paycheck, you make their product work like it is supposed to, and their own videos are lame and incomplete for beginners. New sub, great job!
You can also get your self the Mpc Bible , which is a software guide with lots of examples to try. Its around 500 pages long. Highly recommend. Recommend you use a tablet when using the guide, so you can easily flip thru pages while exploring your mpc
Sample kings still does the best tutorials. All these modern dudes make these fance ass videos and talk for 2 hours about their life, we dont care lol thanks
i'm a complete newbie when it comes to the whole MPC world but i finally took the plunge and got the MPC one gold edition,but every video claiming to be for beginners isn't they skip major steps assuming you know how to get to the next step and they keep instructing.Mean while i'm like how theee hell did you get there.This video may be long but its very indept and thats exactly what a newbie like myself needs and the pointer is a great plus showing exactly where to go and what to do...Thank u sooo much brother

Akai should reimburse you for the work you do for them, at minimum you should be getting hooked up each time they drop a new product. This video has helped me, the Akai videos just made me head back to iOS. I literally boxed the MPC back up and put it on the shelf. When last summers update came out I decided to try it again and SELL it if it didn’t work out. Thats when I found this video. You are a awesome at explaining and you even make your videos where we can SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING !!!!!! I got the mpc a while back after my ASR 10 bit the dust. I hardly touched it because I was quickly intimidated being an old head set in my ways with the ASR but this video is answering all my questions and I'm quickly gaining my confidence using the MPC One, God bless! 🙏

Incredible tutorial. It’s super comprehensive and has helped tremendously with getting my bearings, since I’ve been creating via DAWs and midi controllers for a while now - and the last time I touched an MPC was the 2000XL. Won’t lie, I turned this joker on and was just lost like, “uhhh…what?!”. Let’s be honest, AKAI’s machines are not the most intuitive pieces on the planet, not exactly plug and play, but now things are making much more sense and I’ve got a better idea of workflow! It really is powerful and a game changer; I want to take the time to learn all it has to offer so I can use it to its fullest extent. Thank you so much for your time and effort, fam! Fantastic video, I’m considering buying an MPCONE and this made me understand what to expect in a very good in depth way… I would like to say only two things: - You need a Pop filter for the microphone, it hurts in some speakers and headphones even worse. - Too many intros for certain sections which are way too short… or intros that come out of nowhere… a bit annoying… Appreciate the in depth detail of each section. Hi , Please can you help with 2 things . How to copy a drum pattern ( sequence ) ,not in song mode but on the main page .If i want to use a slightly different pattern in song mode ,this would save me having to program the whole pattern again. Also there are 3 sections in Main Screen . I get that the top one is the sequence ( like a midi track in a DAW) but i cant quite fathom what the function of the middle and lower sections are .. Hi Elaine i'm learning the MPC1 and keyboards ( Korg Wavestate synth ) and i study Shakespeare for fun,i'm burning 69 candles in a few days but enjoying the journey.I'm also UK based but my planned world tour may change things - i can play 4 tunes at the moment so need to crack on a bit but when the saints go marching in on the synth sounds incredibule.I'm also a rap artist so thought you might like my latest ditty which goes something like....... Isn't it tip top,hearing hip hop,wearing flip flops in a chip shop. That's taken from my new album release - Where i live the salt and vinegar is chained to the counter - sales are a bit sluggish but give it time.Like you're channel so i've subscribalated. Honestly this is a great video, i've been around different electronic instruments before, i have a TD 3 and an EMX 1 but finally stepped into the MPC One game to actually help recording the other 2 instruments and for better drums than my pocket operators. I was in the drum line growing up, so being able to tap my beats out instead of programming them makes it so much faster for me. I've been using your video in like 20 minute chunks to figure out some more tricks on the MPC, ill fiddle around with it some more and get lost in just jamming. Come back to this video and learn some more. I'm pretty sure by the end of this video I will really know this, and ill be able to hang up my Pocket Operators and Korg Volca Sample for my beats.
I'm starting to studying my new MPC ONE with you and this is amazing!! Sometimes I find something different in the software screwn. For example right now I'm stopping at minute 37 when you talk about the instruments...and I can't load any bassline only go inside the folder that is empty

Incredible tutorial. It’s super comprehensive and has helped tremendously with getting my bearings, since I’ve been creating via DAWs and midi controllers for a while now - and the last time I touched an MPC was the 2000XL. Won’t lie, I turned this joker on and was just lost like, “uhhh…what?!”. Let’s be honest, AKAI’s machines are not the most intuitive pieces on the planet, not exactly plug and play, but now things are making much more sense and I’ve got a better idea of workflow! It really is powerful and a game changer; I want to take the time to learn all it has to offer so I can use it to its fullest extent. Thank you so much for your time and effort, fam! You can also double tap any of the buttons to turn them to red instead of using shift.

This is crazy. Earlier listened to an old rap song “Classic” where in the beginning of the song KRS-ONE sampled a video game, now he’s teaching me to sample. 😊 Really appreciate this. KRS ONE is one of my favorites and your voice reminds of him so much. This is great!❤

Fantastic video, I’m considering buying an MPCONE and this made me understand what to expect in a very good in depth way… I would like to say only two things:
- You need a Pop filter for the microphone, it hurts in some speakers and headphones even worse.
- Too many intros for certain sections which are way too short… or intros that come out of nowhere… a bit annoying…
Appreciate the in depth detail of each section.

Hi , Please can you help with 2 things . How to copy a drum pattern ( sequence ) ,not in song mode but on the main page .If i want to use a slightly different pattern in song mode ,this would save me having to program the whole pattern again. Also there are 3 sections in Main Screen . I get that the top one is the sequence ( like a midi track in a DAW) but i cant quite fathom what the function of the middle and lower sections are .. I know you can't do that in the new MPC's, you can do it in Maschine. you just have to make a new pattern.
Hi Elaine i'm learning the MPC1 and keyboards ( Korg Wavestate synth ) and i study Shakespeare for fun,i'm burning 69 candles in a few days but enjoying the journey.I'm also UK based but my planned world tour may change things - i can play 4 tunes at the moment so need to crack on a bit but when the saints go marching in on the synth sounds incredibule.I'm also a rap artist so thought you might like my latest ditty which goes something like.......

Honestly this is a great video, i've been around different electronic instruments before, i have a TD 3 and an EMX 1 but finally stepped into the MPC One game to actually help recording the other 2 instruments and for better drums than my pocket operators. I was in the drum line growing up, so being able to tap my beats out instead of programming them makes it so much faster for me. I've been using your video in like 20 minute chunks to figure out some more tricks on the MPC, ill fiddle around with it some more and get lost in just jamming. Come back to this video and learn some more. I'm pretty sure by the end of this video I will really know this, and ill be able to hang up my Pocket Operators and Korg Volca Sample for my beats.

I'm starting to studying my new MPC ONE with you and this is amazing!! Sometimes I find something different in the software screwn. For example right now I'm stopping at minute 37 when you talk about the instruments...and I can't load any bassline only go inside the folder that is empty
make sure you've downloaded all your assets look in setting.
