Great tip at 2:40. Thanks as always for the info Chris. Always appreciate the PSI info as well as needle size and reduction ratio. Also liked the tip for popping that gold color.
Possibly a dumb question but can you lightly sand the candy painted base coat with 1000+ grit before doing the clear coat to take out some small blemishes in the finish? Or is it better to just sand the clear coat after?
No, directly sanding candy2o is not recommended as it will show the sanding scratches in the final finish, to which spot-repairing is more difficult compared to pigment-based colors as candy2o dyes keep building to a darker value. Thank you.
The first Blood Red disc's base is Wicked W360 Metallic White Fine mixed 1:1 W360 Metallic White Coarse, applied over 6001 AutoBorne Sealer White. The second disc's base is 6013 AutoBorne Silver Sealer. Thank you. www.autoborne.com
Is there any other clear coats that you could recommend that doesn't cost over 400 bucks? lol im just a small time hobbyist that just works on model cars.

Is there a way to achieve a very dark, navy blue with a candy over chrome?
Yes, apply 4656 Midnight Blue over Wicked W357 Quicksilver, which is applied over Wicked W018 Gloss Black. Thank you.
This is great stuff, thanks for putting these videos up. They help a lot for people just starting to learn
Thanks for letting us know these videos are helpful.
I can not for the life of me find those round speed shapes, where do I get some and what exactly are they called?
We found the discs online, believe they're commonly used for vinyl wrap color references. Thank you.

Spray Gunner sells a good, affordable 2k urethane clear called American Icon that you may wish to try. Thanks.
@@CreatexColors Thank you so much! I've basically been binge watching your channel for the last few days trying to soak up as much info as I can lol.
Speedokote! It’s like $65 a gallon with hardener, or finish 1 is a good option too!
