Love your reviews mate, you really make me laugh, lost my lovely dog two weeks ago and you are the first person to put a grin on my face in two weeks, keep it going.
To get the cheese to melt quicker you can add a splash of water into the pan then put the lid on, the water will steam and melt the cheese. Thanks for the video and have a good day mate.
My kitchen blowtorch would melt and brown that cheese instantly. It's one of the best kitchen tools I've purchased. I got it from Lidl during one of their special action weeks.
Next time you get them press them down into the pan to thin them out a little bit and do 5-6 mins each side just turning once like you would with a steak. That’s the method I use and they are pretty much unbeatable when it comes to supermarket burgers
if you want the best burgers. Follow this recipe: Blend one large spanish onion. Add a flat tablespoon of black pepper, garlic powder, salt and a half teaspoon of mild paprika. blend to mix. Then add 500 grams of aberdeen angus mince and blend until it rolls around the blender like dough. take it out and shap into burgers and throw on the bbq or freeze and cook another time.
Looks great Gareth. Loved the review! One thing I do with burgers before cooking is to press a sort of dimple in the middle. Definitely helps to keep their shape. I actually like my burgers a bit pinkish in the middle. My wife has to take mine out of pan or off the griddle a few minutes early.
Fab video as usual bud. I keep looking at the Wagyu burgers and steaks but have avoided so far as I never understood what wagyu beef is!! Gonna give it a go, that burger looked spot on! Love your videos, keep posting them bud!
Those burgers looked good Gaz. interestingly I've noticed it mentioned a few times on TH-cam channels how burgers and sausages etc shrink when cooked is perfectly fine as all meat protein does reduce in size as heat is applied if they where to come out considerably larger after cooking its a dead give away there is little protein in the mix but in fact cheaper ingredients like biscuit meal and others to pack out.
Best burgers Aldi do are "The Ultimate Burgers" in similar packaging to these, made with Beef and Bone Marrow, they're absolutely delicious on the BBQ! I've tried many burgers and Aldi's Ultimate ones are definitely my go to, highly recommended!
We loved the Ultimate Brisket Burgers but unfortunately haven't been able to get them for the last few months. We find that this seems to happen with quite a few things at Aldi.
I put square sausage or thick burgers in between cling film and roll them with the rolling pin it helps make them fit the roll plus cooks really quickly

These Wagyu burgers are fantastic. You know ALDI ..Once they’re gone, they’re gone. So if you see them get some for the freezer. I’ve only got one left.
New to your channel. Love your down to earth reviews. I cook these for my 2 teenage sons. They absolutely love them. The frozen triple cooked beef dripping chips are a great accompaniment to the burgers. As for the bacon, the medallions fit perfectly within the bun. Tip top👍
You had me drooling for a good burger - so have added them to my shopping list for this afternoon. Just hope your posting hasn't wiped out stock in my local Aldi...😂
Another cracking video mate just catching up can’t beat a good burger I had a chicken Big Mac meal for lunch then later a steakhouse 😂can’t beat a good burger spot on mate 😊👍
The rehydrated potato is to add weight. The rice flour is used as a binder. The cost per kilo is £10.26.....I feel as this is important as in the uk pure wagyu mince is about £15 a kilo. Wagyu has a lot of fat in it which is why when making a burger a lot of that fat comes out as oil. If you have a sous vide I would cook them like that and create a crust with a blow torch to contain as much fat as possible. However anyone cooking these at home in a frying pan don't add oil to the pan, they have enough fat in them already. Its better to let these cook in their own oil for flavour as various cooking oils alter taste. I wouldn't flatten them either, wagyu has a distinct taste due to the fat. The more fat you lose the more flavour you lose also. Smash burgers is great for cheaper cuts of beef that rely on the other ingredients more than the actual meat itself.
Instead of the tommy sauce and Frenchies try Burger Rellish. They are even better. Had them before and would have them again. Another great video. Cheers.
Gareth how very dare you say you'll be doing chefs a disservice! We've all seen the way you chop an onion fella! Top notch 🔪 skills 👌🏼 That was an absolutely glorious looking burger! 🍔🤤😍
I can share a tip for the cheese for your burger. I get a takeaway from time to time and the shop I use melt the cheese in a plastic measuring jug in the microwave before pouring it onto the burger and onions. Works a treat as the cheese then begins to set as it cools.
Great video, going to have to try these burgers. How about a Coronation chicken sandwich filler comparison from some supermarkets, seeing as the Coronation is coming up soon?
These burgers look great. I'm actually surprised by the small amount of fat that came out, seeing as Wagyu has a lot of fat to give it that marbling its famous for. Of course the Wagyu beef that is usually sold in the UK is not really 100% Wagyu. It comes from different grades of Wagyu beef that has been crossbred with British beef. Having said that, it still is tasty and of a higher standard to plain old British beef, (other than Angus beef). A good review and it was obvious it hit your taste buds "spot on". 🥰🥰🥰.
They've been extremely clever with the wording. It's not Wagyu beef at all and they aren't claiming it is: they are saying it's wagyu sired beef. Most people won't look past the large gold lettering on the label though and think they are getting Wagyu beef burgers.
@@supremeenlightenedtramp1080 I didn't say it was superior to ALL British beef. There are some really great specially bred herds out there, and believe me THEY are expensive. The Wagyu beef sold as UK born and bred are now regarded as British Beef. But they are not 100% Wagyu. The meat is graded on it's quality, marbling, texture, colour and firmness. Cattle then are graded from 1 - 5, with 1 being the lowest grade and 5 being the highest grade. Cattle are also graded on yield and fat😍 content. This is shown by it's fat content as A, B, or C. A being the best @ 72% or more. B, is 69 - 71% and C is anything under 69%. So I hope this has helped explain why proper Wagyu is of the best quality and recently was priced for around £330.00 per kg for A8. Aldi @ £26.49 per kg. M+S @ around £40 per kg and their Sirloin Wagyu @ around £75.00 per kg. Other meat outlets are @ £111.0 per kg for a 'tomahawk' steak and around £180 per kg.
Gonna have to try these later in the week. You obviously really enjoyed those. As others have suggested on here, The Ultimate Burger with Beef and Bone Marrow are very juicy and tasty too. Might be worth you giving those a review in the near future. Similar packaging, and are stacked next to these in my local Aldi 👍

That burger looked delicious gareth! @ £1.75 a burger compared to the one that you had from bk a few weeks ago....i reckon there's no contest! I will be buying some of those this week...😁👍🏻
Hmmm thats a good idea. I think maybe they'v added smash (other brands avail) but by adding powdered spuds to the recipe when it cooks the smash soaks up all the goodness rather than it flowing out. so the spud becomes re hydrated through out the cooking proccess
Will be giving these a try. Maybe a couple of battered onion rings and thin sliced gherkins on top with a slice of streaky bacon.....Fries and coleslaw on the side. Mmmmm.
Wagyu beef does tend to fall apart I've found in the past. I've got a cast iron griddle plate that fits across two of my gas hob burners and I cook them things on there, rather in in oil. I think the word you are looking for is 'streaky' Gaz!!! Looks great, gonna try some of them!!
Looks like thats a proper burger, maybe one to keep in when you fancy a takeaway burger and want to have something a bit more healthy. As others have said, I would probably cut that pattie in two and have it much flatter, smashing the burger in the pan with something flat so it has a crust on the outside. Will cook quicker that way too. Either way its good value, compared with other supermarkets and takeaways.
Great review Gaz they looked the part and nice and juicy and a 9/10 which is great I will have to get some of those a few chills on top would go well, keep up with the great reviews 👏👏👍👍

I work at the beef, venison and veal factory where these are manufactured as I deliver these. Aldi recently changed to us as a supplier for Wagyu burgers and meatballs and they are wanting us to do more products because they are flying off the shelves to the point where we are considering a multi-million pound extension. The quality is great for the price, but I suggest you do a comparison with the Waitrose Wagyu because we exclusively supply Waitrose with every beef product, and there is a difference between the Aldi ones we supply and Waitrose Wagyu. If you want to verify im genuine, more than happy to.
Wagyu meat is ment to have a lot of fat content that's what makes it so tasty I'm a retired butcher 1965-2012 love your videos and just tried the Aldi beer batter cod they are a bargain cheer's
That burger looks gorgeous,I wouldn't add bacon just for me rocket, fresh tomato, cucumber and red onion.maybe mayo .will be trying these thanks Gareth 👍
Bacon, cheese burger is the ultimate. I have had these but cooked them in the air fryer and they weren't great, need to have another go with a frying pan.
I had bao buns!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤I got 3 veg ones, reduced.... £1.40, instead of £3.50.... They remind me of big dim sum.... Which is what i expected. Thanks for that review Gaz!! Kx
went right off burgers last time i bought one from a take away and it chipped my back tooth was like a bit of gravel or something not had one since but that burger looks far better then any take away rubbish state of take aways now been buying higher quality foods for less the burger looked great il try these :)
If you can get streaky bacon, that always tastes good with the rind on it...I love maple bacon...I have a jar of maple syrup which I drizzle on the bacon. Also, maybe make another burger next time with an egg, some beetroot, lettuce and the streaky bacon and caramelised onions ..the lot😋

Haha yes
Oh that looked so tasty im definitely giving them a try only with the salad sweet chilli and mayo thanks for this video
That beats a mcdonalds burger any day good video spot on 👍
I work at the beef, venison and veal factory where these are manufactured as I deliver these.
Cheers Andrew, great that pal but we don't have a Waitrose near us unfortunately. Would of been a good comparison. 👍
Wagyu meat is ment to have a lot of fat content that's what makes it so tasty I'm a retired butcher 1965-2012 love your videos and just tried the Aldi beer batter cod they are a bargain cheer's

Bacon, cheese burger is the ultimate. I have had these but cooked them in the air fryer and they weren't great, need to have another go with a frying pan.
Cheers Reaper
I had bao buns!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤I got 3 veg ones, reduced.... £1.40, instead of £3.50....
They remind me of big dim sum.... Which is what i expected. Thanks for that review Gaz!! Kx

Excellent as always Gareth. One question, what was that green thing under your burger?
Cheers pal, hope you're well mate.
went right off burgers last time i bought one from a take away and it chipped my back tooth was like a bit of gravel or something not had one since but that burger looks far better then any take away rubbish state of take aways now been buying higher quality foods for less the burger looked great il try these :)
Sounds great!
Those burgers look delectable! Fantastic review Gareth.
Thank you
You do make a mean burger mate. They looked impressive and cant wait to try them for myself 😃
Cheers Gav
