Thank you, it’s pretty cool to go back and see them grow up through these videos and have these couple years of videos to watch back as they get older.
We have reserved 4 days here in may of 2022. have you been back since this video? we can't wait. we are staying in the cabin next to yours in this video. We're thinking of traveling to buffalo mountain one day and going the other way towards Rock house trails and visit the town of Man the next day. not sure about where to go the rest of our stay.
We have been back to the trail systems since this video. Our most recent videos are from buffalo mountain and in august we rode rockhouse. You can check those videos out on our channel as well. You can check out the outlaw trails around buffalo mountain and rockhouse. We covered a lot of those areas in our videos too.
I can’t remember offhand but We actually laid out the exact cost of our truck, trailer and can ams in our 40 day trip recap video. It’s in the first few minutes of that video. I want to say around 10,500 pounds.
@MattN03 we haven’t had the f150 in a few years now but it did great with the 3.5 eco boost. It was fine up to 6-7000 pounds but with out new set up it was way to heavy for it
I grew up in the Delbarton area in the '60s and '70s and in the '70s a Mingo County Deputy Sheriff owned a bar, or beer garten as they used to call them, on top of Buffalo Mountain where the road came over the gap where he also kept some goats. That much is true. The story is, some of the goats escaped and couldn't be recaptured. The ones you encountered would then be the descendants of those goats. The bar was torn down when they upgraded the road from two lane winding to almost straight between Delbarton and Williamson in the late '70s or early '80s but by that time the escaped goats were kind of wild even though they are still gentle.
@@TheCanAmCrew cool, i'm watching your video now,, i'm from maine, wife's from new york state, we have a 2015 can-am outlander max xt 1000 2 up in camo, we live just north of tampa, we ride up in ocala national forest, we want to ride hatfield/mccoy
That’s awesome. We appreciate it, Hatfield McCoy trails are amazing, you can ride hundreds of miles from pretty much any lodging area around the trails. All types of terrain too.
Ever ride Sanderson area? Just few miles above Charleston! Good riding to Gauley river and tunnels. Can stand on the once railroad trussel that's a foot bridge now and watch the white water rafters.. Lots good riding
We built this trailer from a 86’ terry camper(travel trailer). Widened it to 8-1/2 feet so we could fit between the wheel wells, reinforced the frame with angle iron and used carriage bolts to hold the treated lumber to the frame.
Head up there from Florida 4 times a year. But since we no kids at home now we bring the SxS and atvs with is. Trails are a blast on sxs but even more on atvs
Im going to go over to the trails. In a few weeks. Can you let me know what you think is the best place to stay and trails. Im taking my duelsport bike. Not looking for technical tuff stuff more of the crusing and seeing sights. Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated
Jason Woody they are called ez track. They are awesome. I have them bolted down through the wood with 5/16 bolts with fender washers and some are actually in the frame.
Yes it is, we made it a while back out of a 86 terry camper. I reinforced the frame with some angle and widened it to 8.5 feet so we could fit between the wheel wells. It’s 25.5 long and 8.5 wide. Then used carriage bolts through the frame to hold the treated wood.
Tennessee is on the top of my list for riding, we love it there. they both offer about the same amount of riding. Tennessee is far more technical type riding. More secluded, less towns. You can ride at night and with no helmets. I think Tennessee has some really cool sights to see as well. Huge waterfalls. Elk viewing towers. Etc. they are tied for number 1 with me lol.
@@securenc1 we ride Wyoming both snowy range northern and southern big horn and around high country South Dakota north and south Idaho and Montana a lot of big rocks.
What trail is mushroom rock on? I was past that years ago and haven't seen it since. We checked out Devils backbone resort this spring when we were riding through. Awesome resort. Nice video again.
72” is good for all Hatfield McCoy trails. They are generally really wide trails. I would say our favorite trail system is buffalo mountain or warrior trail system. We mostly ride the outlaw trails around the southern trails though.
Let me know how that spare tire mount does. I think i have the same one and the top weld broke first ride on pinnacle creek at HMT, ordered a replacement same thing.
Mike Haniotes we have the super atv one. It’s been on there for about 2500 miles and no issues yet. Knock on wood. My wife’s is fairly new. It’s been on there for about 500 miles so far.
Glad you guys made it to Castle Rock! Next time you're in Williamson, be sure to visit the best view in town; Death Rock! It's just off Trail 10 and overlooks the city.
@@TheCanAmCrew Awesome! I actually serve as the tourism director in Williamson. Shoot me an email and I can send you the coordinates/directions. Excited you're coming back! (tugvalleyareacvb@ gmail.com)
Thank you for the info. I appreciate it, I can see it on my map now, looks like we just missed it. Hatfield McCoy trails are our favorite to ride. Can’t wait to get back down there.
Awesome video but cant help but notice that you are pulling with a gas motor F-150. Is a load like that hard on a gas motor, I would imagine that it is.
We have the eco boost engine. The truck is capable of towing 12,500 pounds and we are right at about 6,000. It pulls with ease. 30,000 trouble free miles so far 🤞🏻
We went down last year in December and it was 60-70 degrees. We might have just gotten lucky though. It’s such an awesome place. Let me know how you make out.

Great videos , we are in Ontario Canada and had plans made to head down to Hatfield McCoy this past April for our first time but unfortunately Covid ended those plans but whenever the borders open back up we will be making plans again forsure !!
It’s definitely one of the best riding areas I’ve ever experience. Next being north East Tennessee. You can’t go wrong with either place. 🤘🏻 thanks for watching.
Assault Offroad silver lake was a blast. I will definitely be going back. Keep eye eye out for the videos haha. I think they close October 31st. Hollidaysburg PA.
@@TheCanAmCrew I'll definitely keep an eye out for the Silver Lake video. Looks like your about 4 hours from us. Have you ever ridden in the Allegheny National Forest trails?

Great Scenery
Great video! Definitely on my bucket list, bit of a drive from Canada.
Nice video! I like how you label the trails as your going. Very smart . Great for people who are thinking about going like myself.

Doing it right guys!!! Your kids will remember these trips forever!!!
Thank you, they love riding and if we can keep them outside and on the trails rather than inside on a computer I’m happy haha.
Is it just a video or do you seem like you’re going faster than you really are twin joys of you?
I’m not sure haha. Cameras don’t show depth perception very well.
How much does the trailer and machines weigh? I'm thinking about going from a F250 to a F150 with a trailer+ 2 machines weighing around 7k total.

What kind trailer is that
We built this trailer from a 86’ terry camper(travel trailer). Widened it to 8-1/2 feet so we could fit between the wheel wells, reinforced the frame with angle iron and used carriage bolts to hold the treated lumber to the frame.
What trail did you happen to find the goats on

I’m curious about the airline strips you have on your trailer. What are those rated when mounted to the wood planks? How did you mount those?
