As a male, I actually struggled with the same thing. As someone who was single his entire life, I was looking for a relationship to satisfy me more than the God of all satisfaction. But I give God all honor and praise, for while I cried out to Him in idolatry, He replied with His Son, revealing to me what was truly important. Now, I seek godliness in a woman above all else. Above my preferences and above earthly beauty. Because Proverbs 31 would say that beauty is fleeting, but what's truly important is a woman who has a heart after God. And in the meantime, I live my life for His glory.
that's good chriss that kind of sounded like poetry but besides I think that its then that God can bless you. I don't think he would want to bless you with a wife to take his place, if you weren't seeking him then with a wife it would be harder... God bless

You have no idea how amazing it is to know that there are guys out there who seek Jesus above everything.. because ultimately, only when a man love Him more than anything else, can he love a woman as Christ loves the church,. I hope He sends you one straight from heaven. All the best...
Cindy Adem Yes, godly men are out there, and it is good to desire one, but we must make sure our desire for God and His will for our life exceed our desire for marriage. My prayer last week was, "God, if my loneliness is the only suffering in my life that will bring me to the cross of Christ, then please keep me single for life." We must make sure that our love for God is leaps and bounds over our desire for a mate. That's not to say that I will stop searching for a godly woman of God, but that the search will not be out of a feeling of deficiency, but rather a feeling of joy. So when pursuing a relationship I ask myself, "Am I pursuing her because I feel like I need something in my life?" because if the answer is yes, I need to force myself to step away. The right answer is, "I'm pursuing this woman of God because I want her to join me in proclaiming God's gospel to the world and enjoy God's design of marriage for humanity." This life is a battle to see Christ as more satisfying than everything this life has to offer. Stay strong in Christ, sister! Grace and peace!
I have never really though of it that way, Now that you have mentioned it, I think I will make that my prayer too. God knows loneliness is not a very pleasant situation for us humans. However, I think its more important to Him that we spend eternity with Him than us creating an idol of a mate and ending up in a not-so pleasant place. God knows if it was upto us, we wouldn't choose to endure it. But with the constant, persistent renewal of our minds, He makes it not just easier but also worthwhile. I can say with confidence (without ever worrying that I might have to take it back) that JESUS is the best thing that ever happened to me. Thank you Chris for the food for thought. She was interviewing you, and I'm not going to lie, at the beginning I was like God how does this relate to me? I kept watching it, and your testimony amazed me! And the ending, this poem! I was in tears when I heard it! It open my eyes through the season I'm going and it gave me strength to keep seeking Him and put Him as my first priority. I was a spoken word artist just like yourself in high school, but when that so-called "love of my life", on-and-off guy I was in a relationship finally called it quits, I haven't found the wits or the will to write anymore.
