I can remember that there was a large, dark, well, filled with water, above which was a sign saying "Giant Water 'Otter". There was a chain to summon this animal; pulling it brought to the surface a very large kettle - the "Giant Water (H)otter" !

My mum talks about that too..... and she then went on to work for Drusillas zoo whom I believe was Captain Anne's invention after Wannock tea gardens
I worked in the still room after school.
