Hello , i got a pre 2014 rotax Max . Dies dies Wiring set fit ? Or What do i Need because the Old wiring is falling apart :(
I suffered 3 times a wire break on the same location you refer to in the video at 9:50. What is the best way to avoid this break? (I had to shorten the wire after each break, crimped new terminals on it, and use now a modified TE Multilock connector PN 444043-1 with better vibration resistant terminals than the original Aptiv Metripack one).
Hey mate, yes the best way is to avoid some of the vibrations by using the zip ties to hold the harness tight to the engine brackets. sometimes you just get unlucky. hope that helps.
@@PowerRepublic Thanks for the advice! I have zipped it with a 180° turn on the header of the ignition coil same as you did in the movie. I hope this does the trick now! Your video's are really great. Gives me plenty of insight. Regards from Belgium!
So i drive a rotax junior and then after 2 laps somthings broken. the three bolts that goes through the clutch into the startkran was broken in to pecies the three pieces of the bolts was left in the startkran how could this happen?? I hope you undestood me
If all 3 are loose and not broken, then you might need to tighten them back up with some Loctite and a torque wrench set at 15Nm. sounds like your bolts have failed. Rotax supplies 12.9 High Tensile cap screw bolts. Make sure when you repair yours you use the HT bolts and not the standard ones.
How do you disconnect the conmector on back with yellow and blue wires lol

cant the battery holder and the batttery fall over from the vibrations. I know there is a clamp but is that really enough?
