To be honest this story was confusing, yet... in making it confusing it also made the story intriguing.

I think the story was pretty straightforward. It's just hard to get used to the language.

Is anyone else bothered by his mispronunciation of Amontillado? It's "uh-maan-tee-aa-dow". I bet he eats "kay-sa-dill-ahs" too 🤣

Good narration but this dude has no clue how to use Spanish inflections. Amontillado is said Ah-mon-tee-ah-doe, in Spanish two L’s produce a Y sound. I don’t really care if you want to use an English accent but names stay the same no matter what language they’re spoken in.

The way he pronounced "amontillado" makes sense if he used an Italian accent. Also because many words like Fortunato or palazzo are italian words

A wrong is unredressed when retribution overtakes its redressor. It is equally unredressed when the avenger fails to make himself felt as such to him who has done the wrong.

@@isabella6583 I guess it's the whole nature of deceiving someone into thinking they're a friend, then burying them alive... I guess call me optimistic of human nature, intention, and desire mixed with a little concern of awakening dark fantasies within a child before they're mentally developed enough to know the permanence of death as well as the importance of not falling prey to a victim mentality and seeking revenge. Sure personality types are different. Your reply suggests you may be the appropriate personality type to have handled that sort of thing. This isn't a nature I resonate with. Not right or wrong, just is. 🙌
