I'm giving this one my approval simply because you DID a remix of this track! By far my favorite number from the game. And now that the song is playing as I type this, I can totally say that you've done the number JUSTICE!
I played recently DKC2, never played it as a kid. I know it would have been to me imposible to finish the game at that age, but god this game was really hard. Sometimes i hated it, but i ended loving it, even Squawks. Thanks salty Maximilian for showing me this game.
Nice, just the one I was lookin for. The levels where you're riding the skull roller coaster was the best part of the whole game. Love your Bramble Blast soundtrack too.
@inuyashaspet Yes lol. He was a cool teacher. He taught Applied Communications (mostly taught us about the stock market and grammar/spelling words) but every day I think, he showed us a new magic trick. And once, he showed us how to rave with light sticks. He worked at a bar so he knows how to entertain the tourists :3
What a fantastic game. I wish they'd make another entry in the series but keep the old school graphics like Capcom did with Mega Man 9 & 10. It would be stellar.
Amazing! Thanks for your correction! Greetings! But, i knew that early 2000's, Retro Studio had original membersssss of RARE. I don't know, i read it in a Magazine (not Nintendo Power)
I know it's kind of trendy to rag on Millenial kids because they didn't grow up with this music, but some if not many do appreciate what gaming and its music used to be. Maybe more would be open to listening to the vgmusic classics if we'd stop being so quick to judge first. That said, I love this piece. I love the source and loved it when I'd first heard it in 1995, so this twist on it makes it new again.
It would be impossible... since Microsoft bought RARE. Retro Studios... is the only hope that we have. (since Retro Studios are a group of members of the original RARE Co.) ;D
@cactuar2 Yeah, you may be partially right. But think about it. When you were a kid would you want pong or dk2? So kids today, dkc2 or some modern game?
@EmoMetalHead6666 I've been gaming since I was 2 in 1989 and I'm 24 now, my pa had me playing chess and Nintendo at the age of 2, believe it or not. I've been following these games since DKC1 was a BIG deal back in the 90'S. I still go back to DKC 1 & 2 regularly (gotta love old school side scrollers!) , but 3 disappointed me. Needless to say, I almost find your post insulting, even if you are older than me, I'll take you on in an old school face off any day!!!!
The only guy formerly associated with Rare that works for Retro is David Wise, and he didn't even start work for them until a year or two ago. Please stop with the misinformation.
@HylianCyborg dk3 was like a totally different game altogether. not horrible, but definitely shouldn't have even been in the same franchise as the first two...no comparison. personally, i hated the 64 version but know plenty of people that liked it. dk1 and dk2 will forever be my favorite games :)
Yea, I still play it anyway sometimes when i just want backround sound. Hey check out this song by metric called celebrate I'd like to try to splice that song and I his one together in some way . Probably put the vocals ontop of this beat
@xAmon12x Then buy a SNES online, and the game :D SNES shouldn't be too expensive...$40? Game should be around $30. imo, being able to play this game is worth $70. Cheaper than getting the Wii + game, too.
i love the guys who worked on dkc games' music. you can tell they did their work with passion.
I think you guys did a really good job. Not radically different from the original yet refreshingly updated. Perfect-o!!!
I'm giving this one my approval simply because you DID a remix of this track! By far my favorite number from the game. And now that the song is playing as I type this, I can totally say that you've done the number JUSTICE!
You should listen to Teckworks mix of this, too. Both are very lovely.
*Disco Train Approves!*
FUCK YEAH!!
This is what I call dedication
Best part: 0:43 - 0:50 the bass line and those synths are amazing without the percussion (:
One of my personal favorite soundtracks from DKC and this remix is dope.
Same here. I was born in 2000, and I really like a lot of older games, such as the donkey kong country series.
EpicPigmasks same
DKC2 - many years old, still good to listen (or play)
This Remix - many years old, still good to listen

Holy-...How have I not discovered this until now!
This is one of my favorite songs in the game, thanks for remixing it!

I played recently DKC2, never played it as a kid. I know it would have been to me imposible to finish the game at that age, but god this game was really hard. Sometimes i hated it, but i ended loving it, even Squawks. Thanks salty Maximilian for showing me this game.

You make a lot of good remixes.
What a fantastic game. I wish they'd make another entry in the series but keep the old school graphics like Capcom did with Mega Man 9 & 10. It would be stellar.

Retro Studios. Rare is back with Nintendo, they just have a different name.
I know this song from SSB Crusade :D
Me too. I play the game and experiment with it from time to time. Now I can't stop listening to this mix!
Is very good.
the people who worked in DKC games' music are among the most talented in videogames
shiit i can't stop dancing now!
Love it
I so love this game I could marry someone just because of this game and its beautiful music!
great!

I did, and it was amazizing.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

@ChuruMX The screaming girl is definitely missing :D.
画像の女の子かわいい
It would be impossible... since Microsoft bought RARE.
Retro Studios... is the only hope that we have. (since Retro Studios are a group of members of the original RARE Co.)
;D
Fireworks and screaming!!!!
@cactuar2 Yeah, you may be partially right. But think about it. When you were a kid would you want pong or dk2? So kids today, dkc2 or some modern game?
Back when I was 7 years old, I didn't really think much of that sorta thing. LOL
it has that cool earthworm jim/red hot chili peppers vibe
this is the theme of Smash bros crusade online
Wish I knew how to play with light sticks lol. My teacher showed me how once, it was super rad.
@Rellik165 well, i did... but in 1995 at the tender age of 6 going on 7 i would have had no idea.
I was 7 or 8 when I played this game. Now i'm 16
Why is there an anime girl
if they make donkey kong country 2 returns then this here should be the roller coaster theme
*sniff*banjo kazzoie nuts and bolt....
@EmoMetalHead6666

@xAmon12x With a gamepad for PC it's pretty close:)
If Would possible to change the music of the games in the snes-station,I would put this on at Rickety Race.
@HylianCyborg dk3 was like a totally different game altogether. not horrible, but definitely shouldn't have even been in the same franchise as the first two...no comparison. personally, i hated the 64 version but know plenty of people that liked it. dk1 and dk2 will forever be my favorite games :)
@xAmon12x just down load it off the virtual console
No loop? :/
@SaikoTaiko your teacher taught you how to rave?...
@PalkiaRuler44 That's because this generation is hopeless.
*facepalm*
Microsoft owns the rights, Nintendo owns the developers.
Me
@samboy1288 Everyone. I really hope you knew that too.
Ehh, too tame.
Yea, I still play it anyway sometimes when i just want backround sound.
Hey check out this song by metric called celebrate
I'd like to try to splice that song and I his one together in some way .
Probably put the vocals ontop of this beat
@xAmon12x
Then buy a SNES online, and the game :D

Everyone who played the game >.>
Sounds much like 'Streets of Rage'.
@underworlddreams1 ow and i'm now 27
Didn't really care much about the percussion. Too much snare in my opinion.
