We’ll compare the size to my Traveler’s Notebook Passport BULLET JOURNAL and the Filofax Pocket and a few pens and pencils such as the Kaweco Sport, Kaweco Liliput, Lamy Safari, PENTEL Explorer, PENTEL Prera, Fisher Space Pen, PENTEL Kerry, PENTEL Sharp, Parker Jotter, Zebra 701, Zebra G 402 and KOH-I-NOOR 5228. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Thanks, Jack, for the review and setup! Your fountain pen pairs beautifully with the MeePlus Slimpad.
You’re very welcome Lora
Love that MeePlus notebook! Looks well, and well designed. Great fountain pens
Thanks Randy
Normally I don't like ring binder type notebooks, but that one has a super low profile. Thanks for sharing this, as well as for showing us how you set it up.
Thanks Teresa!
You just got me into the travelers note passport edition. Now I have to get this one. Lol. Just kidding. Looks like a nice cover. And I do like the inserts. And I do like that the kaweco fits in the pen holder. Awesome review. Would like to see the longer term review on this.
Thanks very much. I’ll definitely do a follow up.
Love it! Beautiful leather work. Thank you for sharing sir!
Thanks buddy!
Brilliant design by adding pockets/wallet via binder.
Thanks buddy!
Thanks for showing the side by side with the TN passport. I've been looking for that comparison. I used a TN Passport for a while, but I've been using the Lochby Pocket Notebook for about a year and it's been great, but it's too big to fit in my pockets. You've got me considering this little notebook now. 😀
Thanks for checking it out.
The Travelers Co. fountain pen or rollerball (which uses ink cartridges as well) would pair great with this.
I think that would be a great pairing! Thanks for the suggestion.
@ also I’m sure you’ve heard of them but Tom’s Studio from England has some neat pens. I’ve got to get a new nib for the pocket fountain pen but the pen that I’ve found really neat from them is The Wrenn.
@BOH1995 I’ve not heard of them. I’ll check them out. Thanks
I've been impressed by their notebooks, which I've purchased in different sizes. Their leathers are nicer than Plotter, and more affordable. I have them in Pueblo and English Bridle. Beautiful! I do agree, however, that their website needs greater clarity. It has confused me at times as well. They are based in Hong Kong, and delivery will take longer. Regardless, you will love these notebooks, I am certain.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the review, but what I would have liked to know...
Is that the Pocket size?
What size ring is the one you have? 11mm or 13mm
And is that the tobacco color?
I also couldn't find the cutter on their website to make your own inserts.
I would have liked to know more about that.
I believe that these are the 11mm rings and it’s the tobacco color. I don’t have a hole punch for this size. Good idea though.
I was hoping for someone to copy the plotter. Still too expensive for me, but certainly less than a plotter
Thanks for checking it out. I’m looking forward to using it.
I have heard that if you can remove the silver band in the back it works better.
Thanks Rick. I like the way it adds some bling. I think it adds some durability as well. I appreciate you following along on the channel brother.
When I’m writing in a book with rings they always seem to get in the way of my writing.😮
I think I like both. I use a big Rhodia spiral bound for my meeting notes, my TN for my edc, and Whiskey Cigar journal. I’m looking forward to trying these mini rings for my exercise and fitness tracker. I’ll report back how it goes.
Looks like they stole it from plotter.
I believe Filofax was the first with this size. The rings that attach with a bar are pretty standard. Filofax covers its ring attachments with another layer of leather. Thanks for watching
@@SigogglinJack I've been using a Plotter for a year or so now (well actually three, because I use their mini-5 as a wallet/notebook too). Turns out, I am a big fan of ring binders. saves paper, helps you re-organize things when needed. I assume the Plotter refills would work for this as it looks like a direct copy, right down to the leather, metal binding bar, etc so check out Plotter refills since its really really nice paper (tomoe river, I believe) and very fountain pen friendly. Plotter is owned by the same company that owns Traveller's so the focus on quality/etc is evident. have fun with it.
Buyer beware! Their website is very deceiving.... They EACH say these start at $8.00, but when you open your specific choice they are ALL way over $100.00. There is nothing under $100.00 ... No need to do business like this!!!!
I just noticed that when you follow the links to the notebooks they do have $99 on the first page, the $8 on the next web page. Yes I agree that is confusing. If it’s accessories starting at $8 I think they should state that. It would be less confusing. Thanks for sharing.
@SigogglinJack I don't use links as they are prone to security issues. If you go directly to their website as most people do, it clearly shows the COVERS at $8.00. I'm no where near the accessories page/tab, or on the "next page"!
@dumpsterdude Good point about links. You gotta be careful nowadays. Thanks for letting us know. Maybe they will update their website.
