In fact, Pickle Rick is kinda real. Pickles are good conducters, so they can carry nerve impulses, that is an elecrtical in nature. Nerve endings control the muscles. So, some intelligent pickle CAN control nerve endings of a cockroach, and then limbs of a mouse.

"solenja" literally means salted marinated vegetables like pickles, garlic, pepper, tomatoes etc. in plural form. Not only there are no legends behind, but also it would be silly to call someone "solenja". Imagine a legend about the guy called "vegetables".
Guess it's fine for most of the world, but our voice actors tried hard not to make it sound cringy in russian.
That had to be pretty funny in context.

True, it's amazing and hilarious, but the whole point of the episode is that it's also really, REALLY stupid.
There were a million ways for him to avoid therapy, but he picked one that nearly got him killed several times over and it highlights the fact that, while Rick is brilliant, he use his intelligence as a way to run away from his problems, rather than solving them.

It's not as if pickles are known for their great survival skills. They don't even have arms or legs. He was nearly killed by... a cat pushing him off the table!
The "smartest man in the universe" couldn't predict that a cat might do the thing that cats do so commonly that it's almost a cliche.
And, I remind you, this is a man who can travel not only to any possible place in the universe, but also to an infinite number of alternate dimensions.
But he chose to stay in his own garage and become a pickle, trusting his life to a contraption that worked off of a pair of scissors. Someone BUMPING THE TABLE would leave him helpless.
