    you’re the best i can’t thank you enough for your videos:))) i have done all of these questions but your approaches are so much more efficient than mine were which is so useful for timing!!! like for the chemical ratio question i literally wrote down the new fractions then equalled them to x/10 to see if x=4 but your way is so much quicker 😭

    That’s really helpful thanks! But how do u e.g multiply 24 x 18 out in less than a second- I’m not able to do that:(

      Don’t worry, it is not essential to have quick mathematical skills in that sense! Focus more on improving your speed overall, you should then have the necessary time to calculate - we will be uploading on speed soon!

    Is it possible if you could go over some BMAT problem solving questions tonight? Rly be appreciated.

    If possible can you post the most difficult problem solving questions like how you did with critical thinking?

      I'll post some today but let me know if there are any specific questions you would like me to go through :)

      @@examrizz. Hi! I'd be really grateful if you did a worked solution for question 42 on paper 2014. If you haven't recorded the video already. :) I got 13.68 and I can't figure out where I have gone wrong (It isn't even an option!)
      13.6 x 5 = x + 13.4 + 14.4 + 13.4 + 13.7
      68 = x + 54.9
      x = 13.1
      y = (13.4 + 13.7 + x + 13.3 + 14.9) / 5
      y = (13.4 + 13.7 + 13.1 + 13.3 + 14.9) / 5
      y = 68.4 / 5
      y = 13.68
      The answer is apparently 13.58 but I can't see why!

      @@Pilgrim1st for that question, you can look at the answer options and the mean daily temps - you can see that the 5 year average will be less than 13.7 and most likely the closest to 13.4. A is ruled out as that is less, B is less likely as well as D as 3/5 are 13.4. this leaves C as being the only suitable answer.

    • @Pilgrim1st

      @@moeisthis1490 I'm sorry can you run me through how you have come to some of those assertions? I don't understand your methodology here at all.

      @@Pilgrim1st i tend to not find the exact answer when calculating these questions but roughly what fits in with the information. so 5 year mean takes the average of the previous 5 years. there is exactly 4 rows of info and x and y are the ones that are missing. they are the final 1/5 of the average. if you look at the info we are given, the answer will most likely not go out of the reach of 13.7, and you can imagine that there is more weight given to the 13.4 as there are 3 of them. from how averages work, the more something appears - the more weighted it will towards that number. if you are looking for an exact methodology on how to calculate the exact answer, i don’t do that unfortunately. my bad if that is not what you are looking for exactly

    thanks these videos are really helpful! could you show how to solve q37 and q50 from the 2018 paper?

    • @harmey5928
      @harmey5928 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just in case... Q37 is just the fact that each person can put in money after 3 mins.. the other stuff is waffle... there are 5 people ahead of the guy so he can use the booth after 15 mins( 3*5).
      For 50 a bit hard to explain - try to plot numbers on each chart, for both sides, i.e 10-100 and then try reversing one of the sides, you will see that when you do that with C you get connections for which there is no clear line of symmetry.
