It's the fact that they tried so hard (to me at least) to be as accurate as possible for just a single song. It's always surprising to me when I see metalheads who are also into Kpop. It's two polarizing forces that somehow came together. This is why I give Kpop a lot of credit. Because you don't see metalheads listening to American Pop, but they'll listen to Kpop. I've even seen people who only used to listen to country music listening to Kpop as well. Kpop has a strange, alluring effect on people.

Yessss I'm a metalhead and the first kpop groups that really dragged me into kpop is EXO and BigBang! They really appealed to me more than the other groups but I really respect all of them.
Whether they kpop or not shit still goes. I mean their achievements go far beyond kpop but it's still very cool that they represent where they're from.

I am not a singer but my best friend is, she told me singing for this type of music requires special training otherwise you could ruin your voice so that's already amazing if you add the fact they are not only singing in korean but rapping too. You guys have such a unique talent. I really wish you to have many more fan than this because you really deserve so much more. Thank you so much for this amazing cover!
I don't know what your friend exactly said but this is a little out of context. You don't just ruin your voice by singing a certain way. You ruin it by singing abusively a lot while not giving your throat enough time to heal. Like for example touring for a couple of months and performing every single day. Also, you don't just sing and suddenly your throat starts to break out of nowhere. Singing wrong hurts and leaves you with a sore throat pretty quickly. The special training part is also not entirely correct. Singing is a very vague science that is still not very well understood. There's many different ways to learn it, some even completely unorthodox and contradicting to classical training.
I wouldn't say special training is needed. You just need to understand how to add the power you need behind your vocals from your diaphragm and not your throat. Your throat is used but that should never be where you're vocals are coming from.
I think the misconception by people who don't care for metal/screamo is that anyone can scream and yell into a microphone, but that's not true. Believe it or not, it requires talent.

I'm a fan of the original so it's hard for me to be impressed with a cover, but I really liked this. The rap part was great, it must have been hard to get the pronunciation right but it sounded really good!

It's always surprising to me when I see metalheads who are also into Kpop. It's two polarizing forces that somehow came together. This is why I give Kpop a lot of credit. Because you don't see metalheads listening to American Pop, but they'll listen to Kpop. I've even seen people who only used to listen to country music listening to Kpop as well. Kpop has a strange, alluring effect on people.

Yessss I'm a metalhead and the first kpop groups that really dragged me into kpop is EXO and BigBang! They really appealed to me more than the other groups but I really respect all of them.
Whether they kpop or not shit still goes. I mean their achievements go far beyond kpop but it's still very cool that they represent where they're from.

I am not a singer but my best friend is, she told me singing for this type of music requires special training otherwise you could ruin your voice so that's already amazing if you add the fact they are not only singing in korean but rapping too. You guys have such a unique talent. I really wish you to have many more fan than this because you really deserve so much more. Thank you so much for this amazing cover!
I don't know what your friend exactly said but this is a little out of context. You don't just ruin your voice by singing a certain way. You ruin it by singing abusively a lot while not giving your throat enough time to heal. Like for example touring for a couple of months and performing every single day. Also, you don't just sing and suddenly your throat starts to break out of nowhere. Singing wrong hurts and leaves you with a sore throat pretty quickly.
The special training part is also not entirely correct. Singing is a very vague science that is still not very well understood. There's many different ways to learn it, some even completely unorthodox and contradicting to classical training.
I wouldn't say special training is needed. You just need to understand how to add the power you need behind your vocals from your diaphragm and not your throat. Your throat is used but that should never be where you're vocals are coming from.

I think the misconception by people who don't care for metal/screamo is that anyone can scream and yell into a microphone, but that's not true. Believe it or not, it requires talent.

Mikey (singer/drummer) is a good friend of mine and he has the most beautiful voice. He commits 110% to his music and that's how he pulled off Korean lyrics as a very white, red-headed Hispanic person 😂

와... 소름.... 정말 한국어 가사가 그대로 들림. 보통 외국분들의 한국어 발음이 정확하기가 힘든데 게다가 노래를 부르면서 또박또박한 발음과 감정까지 너무 잘 표현되어, 헤비메탈버전임에도 전혀 불편하지않게 또다른 명곡을 듣는거 같아서 너무 좋았습니다. 앞으로 이그룹의 좋은곡 으로 다시 보게되었음 좋겠네요 :)
