It was amazing to go to a show where I didn't have to pay 40 or 60 dollars for a table...nor did I have to pay 5, 10 or 20 dollars just to get in! And on top of everything, they passed out coupons for a free meal at the concession stand for those who had tables to sell or display!!! Very classy act and a great show!
It was truly and fantastic idea. I just wished that some of the dealers took it to heart. The whole concept was that by not paying for tables...dealers could sell their wares for a smaller price thus giving the collectors a chance to pick up things they might not other wise be able to purchase. I followed that thought and sold things at fantastic prices. Others...well...did not. This made me rather sad. It is their stuff and they can sell it for what they want but...it still made me rather sad. Now I want to be clear that it wasn't all the other dealers. There were dealers that were pricing things very fairly.
There is a lot of that in my area...it is actually named for Wyoming New York. Many of the settlers in southwest Michigan came from New York and brought the names with them.
