it's because there's no money in tv any more. you may notice game shows today are designed to not let you win, whereas in the past, they were designed to let you win. consider who wants to be a millionaire. 10-12 questions of increasing difficulty is a tall order; but fair enough, it's multiple choice so you could wing it. however, since the turn of the century, game shows have become more and more unfair. consider the chase. first you have to answer questions to win your stake. then you have to battle a quiz 'genius' just to get that money in the pot. and finally you have to beat the chaser in the number of questions answered. i can guarantee, the win rate would fall dramatically, even though it's pretty low already, if the questions the chaser gets wrong weren't handed over to the contestants. consider pointless, which i think is a pointless show. they have to correctly answer the questions that only a small percentage of people got right. then you have tipping point, which is similar to the chase. you have to battle four people to have the chance on the game board to win £10-20,000; and if you don't you go home with nothing. Can you imagine that? Getting to the final round and not winning anything. It's a waste of everybody's time other than the production company. Also, if you don't get a good drop, then you're always playing catch-up. Deal or no Deal. for every high-vale box that's picked off, the odds of winning a good prize decreases exponentially. there's also one on ITV with Warwick Davies, where you have to come up with a range of answers. the format again is similar to the chase. where each teammate first wins a pot of money, or doesn't. and at the end, they have to do a final list to win the money they've already accumulated. the 80s and 90s were certainly the halcyon days of british game shows, where, if you had a little bit of knowledge, and/or a little bit of skill, you could walk away with a new car. they brought bullseye back in 2006, and the prizes were truly awful in comparison to these prizes: a trouser press, an mp3 player, a kettle. this just exemplifies how poor these channels are compared to ITV in the 1980s & 90s. and get this, the new show also made you stake the money you won on the star prize board, so you could literally go home with nothing.
AMATEUR & SEMI PROFESSIONAL darts bodies take heed the old saying in darts when it comes to finals in local leagues or even. Super Leagues and the BDO now as well as the 80s when playing in final or even grans down the local ladies league WHY CALL FOR THE BEST OF ORDER?
