Recover data after a factory reset on Android through 4 ways
1. Recover from a Local Backup
Android has a dedicated “Backup & Restore” feature that you can use to instantly restore data from your local backup if you have created a local backup on your smartphone before performing the factory reset.
Step 1: Go to “Settings” and scroll down to click “Backup & Restore”.
Step 2: Now, if you are yet to perform the factory reset, you can enable “Automatic Backup” and configure the settings to back up your files.
Step 3: Once the factory reset completes, head back to “Backup & Restore” and select “Restore” this time. Then go ahead and choose the backup files and all your data will be retrieved within a few minutes.
2. Recover Data from Google Account
All you have to do is configure your Google Drive app for automatic backups and recover them while setting up your phone after the factory reset.
Step 1: First to backup your data to a Google Account, navigate to “Settings”, “Google”. Then click the “Backup” option and enable “Backup to Google Drive”.
Step 2: Once your data is successfully backed up to Google Drive, go ahead, and perform a factory reset.
Step 3: After the device is reset, your device will automatically fetch all Google Drive backups when you set up your device. Simply choose the right backup and click “Restore” to recover all your files.
3. Recover Data After Factory Reset Android from SD Card Without Root
If you have accidentally performed the factory reset and don’t have any backup to retrieve the lost data, you can use professional data recovery tool such as Wondershare Recoverit.
If you’ve also ended up formatting the SD card while performing a factory reset, simply install Wondershare Recoverit on your PC and follow these steps to get back your files.
Note: Recoverit Data Recovery tool allows you to recover data after factory resetting your android. To do so, you will be required to connect your SD card to Windows, or Mac system. Recoverit cannot recover data from Android phone without the SD card.
Finally, the final method to recover deleted files on Android is to use Android Data Recovery tools.
4. Performing Android Data Recovery after Factory Reset Directly with Android Data Recovery Tools
Note: Using the Android data recovery tool can directly recover lost data from Android phones, but you need to root your Android device in advance.

So, method 1: Back up your data before you do the factory reset and restore it after the factory reset. Method 2: Back up your data before you do the factory reset and restore it after the factory reset. 3. Back up your data to an SD card before you do the factory reset and restore it from the SD card after the factory reset. If you accidentally format the SD card, use data recovery software to recover the SD card. 4. If you don't have any backup, use an android recovery tool, but it might require rooting the phone. Whoever buys it could simply use recovery software to get all of the previous owner's private data and steal their identity, stalk them, destroy their business or blackmail them. I would say the title of this video is a lie. In fact, since you never explained how to recover any data from a factory reset, the good reviews are most likely lies also.

I deleted photos from internal storage and nothing has helped. When you said recover through pc I'm having a problem even getting USB to be recognized even after debugging. And dr.fone did not pull up my photos deleted from storage. Is there any way you can tell me what im doing wrong.

Hi, I've got a specific question regarding photos on the Samsung gallery.(on an S8)
Last night, I put a new sim card in my phone and then took it out since my father said that I needed to get it set up before I put it in. This was done while the android symbol was being shown, and it booted up with everything gone. I used the first method to get everything back in place, but all the photos taken in the past 2 years were wiped.
Now I had my gallery set up to a one drive, but it filled up rather quickly and I didn't want to pay for extra space, so I just let it be. This was 2 years ago. All the photos that had been on my phone at the time I did this process loaded back up, but I'm franticly trying to get the others back since I had photos that I need to graduate at the end of this year in the lost gallery.

Well I hope that the third option works because I had a lot of pictures on my old phone and when I was backing up a bunch of pictures to the sd card I had in the phone, the thing overheat and it stopped working. Apparently some circuits got fried and it wouldn't work properly. They try to blame me for taking the sd card out but that's complete bollocks because when I took the first SD card out to put the other one in, it didn't give me any problems, second one of my other family members wound up having their phone overheated and gone to hell as well and they didn't remove the sd card, third in this day and age, all phones should and most do allow you to take the sd card out without any problems. So basically Samsung cannot build a phone for shat and I really hope I can recover all the pictures I still have from my old phone.

the dr.fone recovery tool still cannot locate/show my previous files before the factory reset. It only shows the ones that have been backed up by google.

It suddenly perfomed a factory reset, I thought that wasn’t possible because the last phone I had would first ask the password of my device and many more before performing factory reset. I tried using Recoverit, and, when I couldn't get it to work, Wondershare support said that it was because I needed to be using Dr.Fone, despite this video suggesting that both work, and despite they themselves telling me to try Recoverit first before I try Dr.Fone. Anyway, I tried Dr.Fone and it couldn't find any data prior to the factory reset. Really disappointing.
