Does anybody absolutely love building and watching huge houses like this get built, but always ends up playing in small one story homes when they actually do gameplay?
I love a big build, but a lot of my own sims are rags to riches, so half the time they are lucky if they live in a tent 🤣🤣

That kitchen is a dream! I always set down ottomans for my toddlers; the high chair IS pointless. Love your story lines!( And oh, your Tory party burn. 🤣🤣 🤣)
Toddlers and high chairs aren’t as bad when you have a single parent - but when there is two parents floating around it becomes a mission to keep the toddler in the chair!! & 😅🤣🤣

For the storyline, maybe when the moms dad died, her mom went through a depression and experimented in drugs to help deal with the pain of losing him, and the daughter was taken away and put into foster care. Then the grandma got sober when the daughter was a young adult and they rekindled their relationship!

I was wondering, when you place things on a surface (counter, desk, etc.), why do you remove the surface, place the items, and then move the surface back under the items?
Thank you! & many surfaces in the game have slots that things can clip to, if you place something onto a surface to start, and then remove it the clutter will stay at that height, and you can repeat until your happy with how the clutter looks and put the counter back!

I used to add lots of clutter and detail to every room like you do, but lately I've gotten away from that and become more minimalist. This has inspired me to reintroduce the clutter. It's just so much more realistic, especially when you have so many people in one house. Love it!

The path for the garage is literally on a path that’s supposed to be for walking like the path debts on the road that’s for pedestrians to walk across, But otherwise the house is beautiful and I wanna know if it’s on the gallery

Love this build sooo much! I've been planning on doing a generation family (idk what the term is, sorry English isn't my 1st language🥲) but as you said, the game only allows 8 people in one household. I dont want to use mods so i figured, can i ask the family members to become our household members?? Really curious bout this for a long time
Unfortunately without mods, the most sims you can have in one household family or not is 8 sims! & thank you! 🤍
Ok I know its been a few months and you've probably moved on but... this is the kind of entertaining is like what my parents did? They had a formal dining room and a family dining space, and same for relaxing space. There was a lounge room for when we had guests, and somewhere more comfortable for regular use. Also, for the widowed grandmother... maybe her daughter got removed because of a physical health issue. Nothing traumatizing, but she was forced to give her daughter to foster care because she was too sick. And her daughter kept having to move placement because she would run away to go back to her mom.

Maybe for the story with the Mom, her Dad is out of the picture early on? Like if he died when she was a kid, or wasn’t even in the picture at all. He could have been a fling that resulted in a pregnancy or a deadbeat boyfriend/husband that booked it before she was born.
That would mean the Nana would have to support them both, possibly without any outside help if she was disconnected from/shamed by her family. Then at some point she either put the Mom up for adoption or the Mom was taken by a Social Worker.
This could fit in with both the Mom and the Nana storywise. After seeing her own mother struggle to put food on the table the Mom became kinda obsessed with having a good career, to the point where she’s overcompensating and being away from her family. And the Nana could still feel guilty for giving the Mom away/losing custody, so she’s determined to try and make up for it with her grandkids.

I have a question for you as a builder, how do you decide how to build the exterior? I can never seem to where to add bump outs or how to lay it out. Any tips would be appreciated. ❤️
I would say look at houses on Pinterest is a good guide!
I love your build! I can't build a house like you can but I love to use previously built homes and make my own changes to the house exterior and land, but I have the most fun redecorating the entire interior!
adopting a cat or a dog is actually more in depth than adopting a child in the sims 4 😂 when you adopt a pet you can choose three at a time, a social worker brings them and you can interact to see if your sim gets on with them well and then you can agree to adopt... sims 4 your sim just picks on off the computer and then leaves for a while and comes back with them in the family

I would love more things to do with toddlers and children. I can't believe there are only 4 aspirations. It drives me mad that that is all we can do with the children. I've heard there are new expansion packs coming next year. I'm hoping in one of them or in an update that we get more things to do with children and toddlers
I hope they get more depth, even more few after school activities would be great!!

I use this house as my house for my two favorite sims.. I made the inside and outside different to suit my sims needs and I love it.. Though I don’t think you would recognize it now.. It’s fun to go back and see the differences..

Hi!! I dont know why but my Move object on doesnt let me just freely move things, it still keeps me somewhat limited with like mirrors and how close things can be....its quite annoying, and yes I have double and triple checked it is on lol. ANYWAY, this is BEAUTIFUL....after you make them, are they still functional and the sims can use the objects?
Hi! That’s annoying I’m not sure why that’s happening! I would say if you okay on pc then download the better build buy mod - there is a way to always have move objects on in the filters so you can freely place everything all the time, I had a problem with move objects before and enabled that part of the mod and never had a problem since! & yes they are, I say in every video but in case you missed it, I play test everything to make sure its all useable and I never seem to run into any major problems (if any minor ones too!) all of my builds on the gallery have been playtested and will work without issues 🤍
I call my "grandma" Nan too! Now that my parents are going to be grandparents (my brother's kid not mine haha) my mother wants to be called Nan when my Nephew gets old enough to speak

I LOVE your videos!! I watch them for hours and sometimes try to recreate the builds you do! You should get into architecture/interior design and use your sims builds as a pre-portfolio. Anyway, never quit, you’re amazing Jess!

Why do people put move the tables to put the clutter on top and then put the table back under what does that do I've never played
Lots of items will clip to slots on the tables, if you put them on the table, then move the table away and let the item float, you can get a more accurate placement of where you want the clutter items to be 🤍
Hey! Amazing build as always. ❤ aaand I loved the storyline. It got me thinking: when you release your save file (I hope soon), will it come with all of those families storylines? Career, skill points etc. If it will, how so you do it? Do you immediately after finishing the build go to CAS and make the family? I'm curious about the process and how you do it!

I want it to be filled out with depth and entertaining families - and I did at one point start making the families but I realised that with the updated townies coming out, it could be something that would only happen within new save files (I assume anyway) so I’ve put the creation of sims on haunt for the moment! 🤍🤍

I just want you to know, that I have lived in 2 of your houses now lol. I ALWAYS build my own home and have my Sims live in it but your builds are so beautiful I just couldn't help myself! That's really saying something from my point of view. Thank you for the beautiful builds. I play using no cheats so I actually save up the money to buy them and it's a lot more satisfying that way.
