My goodness!!!i just got "Godsplained" 🤣🤣🤣Mary here, def not Martha but so wish that I had that incredible "material" productivity ability. I am sooo slow in "getting things done" on the other hand, my spritual life is like a well cultivated and beloved garden...I just adore spending as much time in prayer, worship and studying scripture. Reassurance comes, So need to stop comparing myself to all the amazing Marthas in this world...Thank you for clarifying the sloth thing! Even as this comment is being typed, I sense chuckling on the invisible side....many blessings to you with much love, may your cup run over all the days of your lives...

This is the best talk I have heard on this subject. And it was so thoughtful and in-depth, it brought a lot of insight to my marriage ending. Sadly, this would've been so helpful to have heard at the time... 😢 Thank you for all your videos, which not only bring fun, playful banter, but amazing knowledge and insight to our faith, at a time where we are so short on clergy. God bless, you're in our prayers 🙏🙂

Great episode! It never gets old hearing that the Lord is about a good work specifically in me, peculiar and particular to me! Let me always remember this, please God. Fathers, thank you for this good work you’re doing.

I have to say that I really enjoy the "talking piffle" you guys do, especially in your intros. I used to teach at a university before I retired, and I miss sitting down with all the grad students and hearing all the cheerful, overly intelligent nonsense they would talk. This brings it all back.

God is so good to have provided me with a double whammy between this episode and the paywalled talk from the retreat the day I was reorganizing my homeschool shelf for the year. There was a battle raging within me a la Mrs Hannigan as I was finding socks and legos everywhere they shouldn’t have been and none of this stuff was sparking joy, Fr Joseph-Anthony!!! Your talks blessed me to power through, thanks Fathers!

Other words with similar spelling (eg; troth) are pronounced with a long ‘o’ so by reason, sloth should be also.
If in doubt when pronouncing English it is logical to defer to how the language is spoken in its country of origin. If you have a quick look at a Royal wedding on TH-cam you can see how the English pronounce troth with a long rounded ‘o’ when saying their vows.
The word ‘both’ is another example.

Great! The sound could be a bit louder though.
