When zombies was at it’s peak, when the community was alive and kickin’. Such an electric time, people like Noah were paving the way for streaming in the zombies community, people like Milo were handling all the info and tutorials for the maps, Lex was handling all the memes at the time. Such an amazing part of my life and the community, that I wish I could experience again.
You summed it up perfectly. All the zombies TH-camrs played their part in creating a culture for the zombies community. Add on top of that Jason Blundell and the communication with the big zombies TH-camrs and his teasing of the community before each map release really generated the hype behind the game and the community. BO3’s lifecycle in 2016 and then the release of Zombies Chronicles in 2017 made those two years truly some of the best years of my life, I miss those days dearly

First of all no the old crew isn't gone, they are going to be playable in the Bonus Map (The Giant/Der Reise location) which you can get either Hardened Edition of the game. Secondly the new crew looks very interesting, not to mention they're being voice/played by big actors like Ron Perlman, Jeff Goldbum etc etc. Also none of you have even played it yet so you can't say it's going to "be bad" because you haven't even played it yet xD. And lastly stop worrying about the huge Monster its most likely going to be the new 'Dog Round/Round 6' or maybe just a boss kinda guy like the Guard on Alcatraz (obviously guessing but it's the most likely thing). So don't even compare it to the shit mode called Extinction lol. Everyone just needs to chill :))

Cant believe how black ops 3 was made in 2015 and has better zombies than Vanguard. Awesome graphics aswell. Der eisencrache is my favourite map and I've only recently been playing it. My first time playing Der eisencrache properly was last month

I remember seeing this trailer the day it came out and having so much hype and being so excited for fresh content, I was filled with glee! The cherry on the cake was The Giant. I remember all the theories and people spoiling the gobble gums saying they're OP. I rememeber sucking out any information I could find. I remember der eisendrache, the dlc 1 master. I rememeber all the tutorials coming out for it and watching countless game play in class. I rememeber my first time playing and thinking that this fresh feel of zombies would never go away! That's when I could see the zombies community growing and strengthening. I rememeber my disappointment with zetsubou no shima, the countless glitches, the complications.... and then gorod krovi came along and everybody felt it... the ending of zombies was near, we all prepared ourselves for the last map and what's to come, the theories never ending... and now, Revelations. It felt like just yesterday we were learning how to open pack a punch on shadows of evil. How could it be over so soon? what happened to that experience? Frankly, none of us wanted this day to come. the end of Treyarch Zombies. 8 years of ups and downs and it ends here. And to think, this whole thing started with somebody suggesting a little mini game after beating the world at War campaign. This is a thank you from the bottom of my heart, Treyarch. I hope we can break the cycle :).
Tigey I was refreshing all new sites for new zombies intel. I got a ps4 then,some time after bo3 came out. And the season pass sometime later. But the thing is,even though the maps were gameplay wise great,except from revelations,the hype i got wasnt exchanged if you know what i mean. The leak were the first map would be in chicago,the second in maxis mansion,the third in a german village and the final one in egypt(sounds crazy). I loved these ideas. And two of them were kind of executed. (SoE and Revelations). Then the "zombies campaign" leak came out. Turned to be shitty Nightmares,the campaign with different audio and reskinned round 1 zombies. I feel nostalgia even for waiting shadows of evil. It feels such a warm map,a masterpiece IMO. I hope the next treyarcg zombies game will deliver the hype and the gameplay it will built.
at that point in development (still 3 months left till launch) many in game assets (like the Bloodhound and its appearance and sound) weren’t done yet so they just substitute them with already completed assets (like the MR6 sound for example)

Anyone else think zombies stop being good after BO1? Every map in BO2 zombies had a clear gimmick, were trying to be too over-the-top for its own good, or had an objective (COD zombies should never make you collect items to progress, that's just stupid). While for the most part, BO1 and WaW zombies felt like real locations that made you feel like a zombie surviver.
What's so fun about just buying a few doors, getting your perks and guns, and then that's it? Yeah it is fun, but I do like variety, I love some maps to be simple and some maps to be complicated like origins, mob of the dead, it just brings lasting appeal. Nothing wrong with some side objectives on a map and if you want that simple nostalgic feeling, go back to maps like der riese, kino, etc.
Bryan Luna As much as I love all 3arch style zombies mode maps, I agree with you about Mob of the Dead, Origins, etc.. To me, it feels like it's forcing me to do objectives that I always have to do just to get things. I mean, I understand that it gives us somewhat OP items if we complete the objectives, but at the same time, like what you just said, it's useless doing it again and again.

Give me Your Money Already got rid of my old PS3 with Black ops 1. If i wanted it back that means i have to buy it through Steam, and CoD is ridiculously overpriced on Steam for how long its been out. Even WaW is something like 20$. And who knows when the next Activision sale is on Steam.

The song used in the trailer folks is a song that hasn't been real eased yet and is produced by Treyarch. Release date is apparently on the 10th August but not sure!
AT ForDaWin I will agree with you on that! First time playing Shadows of Evil, Der Eisendrache, and Zetsubou was so much fun! In my opinion all the maps, the storyline and everything in general is great.
Honestly nearly 7 years later you realise where gaming really was this map was a marvel i so wish we got more of this crew I was the one of those who didn’t like this map but in all honesty it’s one of the best ever RIP to when gaming was actually fun😔

I remember all the theories and people spoiling the gobble gums saying they're OP. I rememeber sucking out any information I could find. I remember der eisendrache, the dlc 1 master. I rememeber all the tutorials coming out for it and watching countless game play in class. I rememeber my first time playing and thinking that this fresh feel of zombies would never go away! That's when I could see the zombies community growing and strengthening. I rememeber my disappointment with zetsubou no shima, the countless glitches, the complications.... and then gorod krovi came along and everybody felt it... the ending of zombies was near, we all prepared ourselves for the last map and what's to come, the theories never ending... and now, Revelations. It felt like just yesterday we were learning how to open pack a punch on shadows of evil. How could it be over so soon? what happened to that experience? Frankly, none of us wanted this day to come. the end of Treyarch Zombies. 8 years of ups and downs and it ends here. And to think, this whole thing started with somebody suggesting a little mini game after beating the world at War campaign. This is a thank you from the bottom of my heart, Treyarch. I hope we can break the cycle :).
Tigey I was refreshing all new sites for new zombies intel. I got a ps4 then,some time after bo3 came out. And the season pass sometime later. But the thing is,even though the maps were gameplay wise great,except from revelations,the hype i got wasnt exchanged if you know what i mean. The leak were the first map would be in chicago,the second in maxis mansion,the third in a german village and the final one in egypt(sounds crazy). I loved these ideas. And two of them were kind of executed. (SoE and Revelations). Then the "zombies campaign" leak came out. Turned to be shitty Nightmares,the campaign with different audio and reskinned round 1 zombies. I feel nostalgia even for waiting shadows of evil. It feels such a warm map,a masterpiece IMO. I hope the next treyarcg zombies game will deliver the hype and the gameplay it will built.

at that point in development (still 3 months left till launch) many in game assets (like the Bloodhound and its appearance and sound) weren’t done yet so they just substitute them with already completed assets (like the MR6 sound for example)

Anyone else think zombies stop being good after BO1? Every map in BO2 zombies had a clear gimmick, were trying to be too over-the-top for its own good, or had an objective (COD zombies should never make you collect items to progress, that's just stupid). While for the most part, BO1 and WaW zombies felt like real locations that made you feel like a zombie surviver.
They didn't. You just had to open doors. If you wanted it to be easier and or do easter egg, then you collect objects

What's so fun about just buying a few doors, getting your perks and guns, and then that's it? Yeah it is fun, but I do like variety, I love some maps to be simple and some maps to be complicated like origins, mob of the dead, it just brings lasting appeal. Nothing wrong with some side objectives on a map and if you want that simple nostalgic feeling, go back to maps like der riese, kino, etc.

As much as I love all 3arch style zombies mode maps, I agree with you about Mob of the Dead, Origins, etc.. To me, it feels like it's forcing me to do objectives that I always have to do just to get things. I mean, I understand that it gives us somewhat OP items if we complete the objectives, but at the same time, like what you just said, it's useless doing it again and again.

I like it, a lot. But skeptical that there aren't Perks-a-Cola machines, gumball machines are cool too though. I gotta see more to have a true opinion though.
The song used in the trailer folks is a song that hasn't been real eased yet and is produced by Treyarch. Release date is apparently on the 10th August but not sure!

All of them are way complicated compared to earlier maps. But of course all the new OP additions make it easy to do well on these maps.
Honestly nearly 7 years later you realise where gaming really was this map was a marvel i so wish we got more of this crew I was the one of those who didn’t like this map but in all honesty it’s one of the best ever RIP to when gaming was actually fun😔
