  • Moss Wash OHV Trail - Arizona
On this adventure we revisited Moss Wash OHV trail near Kingman, Arizona. It has been over 4 years since we were last on this trail. It starts off of a long back desert road and heads up a wash with the prime attraction being the Gold King Mine halfway up the trail. We started the trail on the east side of the mountains and ended at Hualapai Mountain Park. There were plenty of optional obstacles to keep things interesting and a drop off just before the mansion that requires most to drop back into the wash.

I've been up to 'The Mansion' a few times. The first time was before there were any signs or information boards at the trail head. Also it was before there was an internet, as we know it today, and way before google earth. You had to know someone who had been there, and that someone had to be able to give you good directions to get to the trail head. I went the first time in my 1975 Ford Bronco. I haven't been up there in many years, and the trail looks a bit gnarlier, now. I've done the run on up into Moss Basin, too. A lot of mining history there.

It is a great area to explore. Would have been a lot of fun in a 1975 Bronco. The last time we were up there we headed south once on top and visited Boriana Mine.

@@DirtyChuckwalla Yes, the Boriana mine is cool. Just below the Boriana, on a trail that goes east is the Copper World Mine. It's a fun trail and there is a fair amount of the mill still standing. The remains of some cabins and other structures scattered around, too. I always watch and enjoy your videos. Thanks.

Arizona trails are great in the winter. Still no sign at the drop off.

Any word on how the trail is now? About how long it take to go through the trail?
I’m headed that way from Alamo lake next weekend.
    Great video by the way.

Thanks for checking it out. It is a great trail and took us about 5 hours. We were moving pretty slow taking in the sights though.
