Yep! Worked nights on USS JFK as troubleshooter & final checker with VF-32 in 1969. Not for the faint of heart.

Does anyone knows what is that bar or rod for... behind the nose landing gear during launching?
There is a holdback bar attached to the nose gear, it keeps the aircraft from running forward under its own thrust until the catapult fires.
at 7:34 are those guys spoused to be standing there
Is personal of emergency, one unit of fire men, and another for move planes.
As one as your away from the line, your ok. Inside that line is bad.
