I have recently discovered I am an extreme lint attractor. Lol it’s embedded in there so I’m just going to say it’s gray. I also have gray hairs that look like lint so my new lie is passable. Lol I do brush now a days to prevent new lint from coming to live in my crown. But she’s right, pay attention to your locs, every second there’s lint coming in from out of no where. It’s brutal. The journey is amazing, however.
I have Sisterlocks and did a loc detox for the first time in 6 years (baking soda acv) at a salon specializing in locs. I don’t use much products and had no visible build up or lint. After the detox it was horrible. The lint I didn’t even know I had was lifted to the surface and looked like gunk all throughout the back and half way down to ends of my locs! Imagine going in for your first detox in 6 years and coming out with gunky looking locs! Would you recommend loc brushing on Sisterlocks?
I am going to try this with my son he had his locs for a year I’ve had mine for 8 months as of today I cover his hair yet his hair has sooo much lint idk what’s causing it . I usually don’t use have a hair wrap on and I don’t have any lint which I find very weird . Lol but if anybody has any recommendations please let me know lol I’ve already dyed over it and that lasted 2 months
I'm just over three months loc'd. I started with the intstant loc method. I wanted to know how long do I need to wait before I see my locs thicken. I have medium sized parts and many strands of fine hair
It’s hard to pinpoint Bc it’s different for everyone. Locs go through both a thickening and thinning(or getting skinnier to be more accurate) phase. You’ll see the most changes in your locs the first two years but to pinpoint exactly when it will happen for u is not really possible.
I was thinking of cutting my locs. But now I can save them what a blessing. I went through a long journey with these locs.

You can also use your hands and shake them. You'd be surprised how much dust it might kick up, especially after you've been outside for a while
Oooh yes, good one!
