40. Kite Meeting auf Fanö 2024

Zum 40. male trafen sich Drachen Liebhaber auf der Dänischen Insel Fanö. Das Wetter war die meisten Tage einfach nur Traumhaft, so viele Kites habe ich schon lange nicht mehr auf dem Strand gesehen...

A fantastic display, with an incredible number of interesting kites and line items. The fire looked bad - I hope no kites or kite-fliers were damaged!

The fire is part of the Christian holiday that is celebrated on June 24th. In Denmark, St. John's Day has a special meaning because it is closely connected to the Midsummer Festival (Sankt Hans Aften) on the evening before.
This year more kite flyers came than in previous years. Some of them brought their parents kites that hadn't been seen for a long time...

Danke für deinen Kommentar, mir geht es ähnlich wenn ich Bilder oder Filme vom Kite Meeting sehe, dann stelle ich immer wieder fest, das ich viele Drachen übersehen habe...

Thank you for your comment. I'm very happy that you like my amateur video.This year I was at the Kite Meeting on Fanø for the 13th time. The weather at the 40th Kite Meeting was mostly very nice. This year more kite flyers came than in previous years and they flew some kites that I hadn't seen for a long time...

WOW! THANKS for an extra long video showing kites and ground displays never seen in the US. You need a "traffic cop" for some many kites in the air at once. The first dagon was outstnding. What caught on fire? That was huge. It had to be a FUN day to film and take photos of. That second to last song (FLYING ON TOP OF THE WORLD) fits so well into kite videos.

Danke für deinen Kommentar, wenn man sich für Drachen interessiert, ist es fast schon ein muss das Kite Meeting zu besuchen... aber sei nicht enttäuscht Lenkdrachen sind sehr wenige am Strand zu finden...
