      @@karenwalls1522 Besides, Ethiopian is not really a language either. There is e.g. Amharic and Tigrinya (South Semetic languages; whose speakers I intended to refer to), but there is also Oromo and Somali (Cushitic languages).

      Old south Arabian languages are much older than recent turko Mongolian languages (that's right, Turkic people share a common ancestor with Mongolians)
      Don't forget, afroasiatic languages are dated to 18000 years ago, the oldest language family in the world, while turkic and Mongolian languages aren't even 5000 years old lmao

      There is so many Arabic words that I understood.
      I was visiting the shop! Thats the only Arabic sentence I understood!
      However i never heard any Indian Sanskrit or Indo-Europeans elements in the language! The language is heavily Semitic language! Btw Soqotri is classified as an Afro-Asiatic, Semitic, South Semitic and South Arabian language. The language is still has immerse influence of the dominant Arabic language however is it Arabic absolutely no, does it have Indian nope since the way he speaks is like any other Semitic language from Amharic to Hebrew as well as Arabic!

      mohamad waiz it is not derived from Ancient arabic. it is derived from old south arabic which differs from arabic. it is more Close to the ethiopian languages like amharic, Tigre and tigrinye. it was also the Language of the Queen of sheba

      Linguists are thinking now they were maybe a little to quick in grouping MSAL with Ethio-Semitic. There are some phonological affinities but they are commonalities with Proto-Semitic that have been retained by Ethio-Semitic and MSA (glottalized rather than pharyngeal emphatics, for example), but not necessarily suggesting special relationship between these two groups.
