I can listen to these boys all day. The only thing missing is the beer! What a treasure trove of knowledge these guys have. I just bought a 1979 KW W900A w/Big Cam II 400 in it and a 15 speed RR Log Truck. It has been sitting for 10 years and I need to crank it up. I bought it last fall and drove 400 miles to get it right as the Snow decided it was time to show up. Blizzard conditions so it has been left to this Spring to retrieve it. Tires, fuel, filters, batteries and oil have all been bought in anticipation. Can't wait to get it started. I could use these guys to drop in and nurse it back to health for me! Lol.

Hank, when you handed Brandle that bigger cresent wrench, you reminded me of one of my Dad's sayings. Don't force it, get a bigger hammer. Have a blessed day Gentlemen.
We still have a few tripable bunks running around southern BC dropping logs into the lakes. Used to be a bunch up In northern BC dumping into lake williston.
Not that it's a big deal, but the easiest time to kill wasps is at night. At night, they won't try to fly. So you won't have to worry about a sting. Night time is the best time to kill them if you are scared or allergic or whatever the case.
Engine doesn't seem to have much compression. Starter is also running too slow, bad connection somewhere, Check voltage drop in your cables to the starter. At 12 Volts you need perfect and very clean connections.
I switched from Dewalt to Milwaukee tools and I have the Milwaukee electric chain saw with 16inch bar. It is fantastic. Stihl even makes an electric saw now too but my batteries are all interchangeable with my Milwaukee M18 system tools so I won't be buying a Stihl. I have the Milwaukee impact wrench too and it has 1400 ft. lbs. of nut busting torque and it is awesome too. My electric chainsaw lasts longer than I can work and that's using the 5 hour battery. I've worked it for several 8 hour days and it has made a believer out of me. No smelly gas, problems starting the saw, or constant noise with the saw running.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm nature sure can be harsh. I hate to see this truck not getting started but I agree with y'all on the outcome. It would be a nice truck to get going and fixed up.

Helps some truckers :-) TGIF and F and OK and OOPS on the sticks. Oh - Toe goes in first. Watching this a second time - two months ago... Hum. Smaller Hum - think I might. I have one that was a key chain size and it is in the tool box.
I was screaming at the screen..."It's not a fuel problem. It's not a fuel problem." I don't know why you didn't hear me!!! LOL I thought when you first cranked it that it didn't sound like you had much compression. When you hit it with the ether and it didn't even try, I was sure of it. Either the valves aren't closing all the way or the rings are too dry to make a seal. You could pull each injector and spray a bunch of WD40 inside. That might give you enough compression to fire off. While you're doing that you can check the valve lash to make sure the valves are coming all the way up.

you have to pull in on the clutch lever to disengage and slowly let it out to engage. Its not an automatic like some of the older models.
this is all of the motivation I need. I have been thinking about a battery powered saw. 40 volts unit is what I'm looking at
it has served me well. I've had it about 3 months now and have been with it. A 40v one will be even better than this one.
