- After personally looking forward to this new naturally aspirated variant in the long line of 'reality-inspired' fictional F1 cars to feature in the series. But does it live up to what we were hoping for in GT7?

''The F3500A is a Gran Turismo original formula machine born from a deep admiration for the early 1990s F1 cars.
Looking at its construction, the chassis is made from negative moulded carbon fibre which was the style at the time. The suspension arrangement also uses a classic layout, featuring horizontally-mounted shock absorbers actuated by pushrods and bell cranks.
The power unit is a light and compact 3.5L naturally aspirated V12. Using pneumatic valves, it can reach 15,000 rpm, and variable length funnels on the intake system ensure ample torque across the rev range. The screaming sound of the exhaust at high RPMs is a unique quality of naturally aspirated systems that cannot be recreated with turbochargers. The transmission is a 6-speeed semi-automatic box with paddle shifters, which has been mounted laterally in order to avoid any interference with the shape of the rear diffuser.
Looking towards the aerodynamics, the monocoque uses a high nose design. Unlike modern front wings which tend to hand down from struts, this one uses an anhedral design where the wing spreads out diagonally from under the nose. There are several different wings, both front and rear, as well as engine cowl shapes available, allowing you to customise the car to your personal tastes.''

Definitely my favorite car in this update! I absolutely love how it drives and sounds!
I bought this car, put on the livery of the Ferrari F92A, and smiled from ear to ear. It is such an eargasm to hear. 😍😍😍😍

The livery I used was the Camel cigarette F1 that Ayrton Senna drove. I already wear his helmet so I thought that livery would be fitting.
I actually made a Polyphony Styled F93A livery, using all the "A" Parts to make the car look a bit more right (the A Parts are actually the mix of various Ferrari Cars, Mostly 643, F92A and F93A). I think It fits more the context of a Gran Turismo Styled F1 machine
I made the Mp4/4 livery on the F3500-a even though its the wrong car and it already is a separate car in the game. But it still is a cheaper alternative and fun to drive
It's surprising how much customization there is in all the cars this update....
Favourite car in the game now, the car is manageable when you’re in the race but is on absolute knife’s edge while hot lapping. Punishes you if you start to overdrive but still offers so much lap time to be found
Amazing f1 car
I don’t think I’ve heard any complaints about this car, such a great addition. Cheap, good customisation options, fast (obviously) and naturally aspirated. Not more you could ask for

Yes it was indeed the cars of this periods were truly impressive and sounded orgasmic but I noticed that the reason this car exists in the gane Polyphony were clearly trying to get the 1991 Mclaren MP4/6 in the game without having to pay for it but because they didn't do what they normally did and added one actual F1 car from the era as they have done for with the 50's and 60's and instead they added fully visual customizable Formula cars instead they made this soo much more versatile to allow to make repilcas of there favourite F1 car of the time so good job Polyphony
That being said I think they made one mistake with this update as I think the F3500-A should've been 3 cars not just one as one of the major things that define the 3.5 litre NA era of F1 is the variety of different V engine layout with teams using at the time V8, V10 and V12 all being in vogue as they tried to find the most competitive powertrain available within there own resources with the V8 powered cars being the cheaper, lighter and being more fuel efficient engines and V12 being generally the most powerful but at the cost weight and fuel economy with the V10 being the compromise being the two with more power than the V8 but less weight and thirst of the V12 I think that could have been the way they should have gone to show the colossal amount of experimentation going on but that's not to say that Polyphony still did a great thing with the car we got in game.
Completely agree. I'm wondering of polyphony could introduce different engine configurations through gt auto. Not engine swaps but the ability to purchase different engines that would have been used in that era.
@ Maybe that could be a way to do it but all engines have to come from a car that's already in the game maybe we could do it if we could get the Renault Espace F1 and the Jaguar XJR-14 in the game as the Espace F1 ofcourse has the Renault V10 and XJR-14 has the Ford Cosworth HB V8 engine.

You can put on a different exhaust to this car (Racing IIRC) and it sounds almost exactly like the V12 F1 cars of the early 90s.

Just added it to my collection today... Absolutely a Must have if love love F1 cars! if you thought the sf19 and sf23 were wild, this monster tops even those as far as raw thrills and sound... Epic machine and decent handling with minor tweaks.

Made a livery replica of the Ferrari F1-90 which I absolutely adore in combination with the car itself!
Easy to learn but hard to master!
I did the Jean Alesi #27 F92A Ferrari F1 car. Even though it was slightly incorrect...i painted the rims yellow to match the yellow stickers.on the car!!!!
@ItsJustMetrion The only problem doing a replica of the F1-90 (Ferrari 641) is that front on the Ferrari is too different from the three front options on the GT F3500-A in the game so it looks completely off but you can make a very good Ferrari 643 from the second half of the 1991, which tbh I love the looks of alot more!

Nah, not a fan of any racing where the cars look virtually identical aside from livery. I like working within a shape, but not that much. Why I prefer LMP, LMDh, GT1, Dakar etc

The only thing more boring than the car is the special race PD chose to introduce the car on... High Speed Ring.

I'll explain- it's the lack of racing options for it that kills it.
To get it down to the 800pp Sardegna grind, you have to blunt the life out of it, totally negating the reason to drive it.
It's also slow in 800pp tune- high 1.30s.
So it's a specialty vehicle, fun to drive but not any real impact on the day to day gameplay.
Shame.
I feel like the PP system took a lot of the OP fun out of using open wheel cars in the older days of GT, against prototypes and such
