Ahh finally!!! I was looking for something exactly like this!!! All these days when I was searching 'how to paint a silk cloth', all I could find is tutorials for how to paint ON a silk fabric-
woahhh I have no experience painting fabrics, but I was painting a princess just now, and I finally got to the dress. So I just winged it and started with black, painting the shadows and lines, and then slowly making the colours lighter and lighter, good to know I did exactly what I was supposed to do!
Some of Arts deepest mysteries are so simple to solve it's just astounding. Thank you for sharing. I'd never be able to go to an Art College to learn this one magical mystery. Thank you also Holy Spirit and The Universe.🌌🙏
So nice to know I’m not the only one that adds a personal mixture to my paintings to really sharpen the picture.. I’m gonna try this technique right now after this text and report back
Amé la música de Zelda ToT y por alguna razón, le tengo muy poca paciencia a pintar drapery de cualquier tipo pero debo practicar. Gracias por compartir el proceso
Awesome. Pls did you wait for the painting to dry before applying that thin layer of blue?. I can see that this is oil how did u not smudge the painting when applying that layer?
JOENELVLOGS thank you. I do have some blending medium an retarder but it’s still difficult. Never thought of putting it in a mist sprayer. Appreciate that. Thank you!
I cant seem to find anyone who can show how to paint BLAcK drapery. White drapery or color drapery works fine but black drapery I just wonder why noone seems to make a video of it. 😢
@@CesarCordova thank you! I’m trying to get the Marian blue for my replica of a sassoferrato classic but when I try to lighten the blue it looks chalky, any suggestions, would a ultramarine glaze fix the problem?

A method of “general to specific”
@@eembug I feel like it was specific to general, because I was really particular of where the darkest shadows would be.
Beautiful! I loved the Zelda music in the background too!
Yesss...
So glad I watched the whole video! When the colour of the whole painting changed at 3.10 loved that!

Beautiful! When you add the details after the glazing layer, did you wait until the glazed layer was dry? Or was that wet into wet?
It was wet into wet. Here you can see the video without speeding up: th-cam.com/video/sBjisnfzBE8/w-d-xo.html
Wow!!! This is Amazing!!
A lovely demonstration, thank you.
What did you use to make it shiny towards the middle of the video? Before u went back in with the blue and added more details.
This will help clarify the steps: th-cam.com/video/HVd6imKqyPg/w-d-xo.html

How do you mix your grays ? Do you use phthalo blue to mix or a different mixture??
Black + white
What blues are you using? And what are you mixing with it to get the lighter and darker shades?
Phthalo blue mixed with different shades of gray.

How much time you have to painted it
Around 3 hours.
Was liquin involved in this painting ? Lovely painting by the way 💙
I used a mixture of linseed oil and odorless mineral spirit, but liquin is great.

What medium was used for blending? Acrylic dries so quickly?
This is oils.
César Córdova ok thanks. I had looked for acrylics but TH-cam gave me oils. Sorry about that. 😊
You can use a mist spray bottle filled with water, experiment with dry retarders and dilute to use it in the sprayer too.

Ultramarine

Buenos dias maestro, de esta clase me podrías facilitar por favor el paso a paso. Donde lo vas explicando . Gracias
Dear César, that was great but too fast! Low chance to follow your brushes movements! 😄

Linseed oil and Odorless Mineral Spirit. 50% and 50%
