Trust me, it isn’t always easy. I just don’t film all the times when I find nothing. One episode sometimes comprises of footage from 100+ hours in the field.
Congratulations on the Golden Habu! The first photograph of a Habu I ever saw was in Ditmars book; I believe he called it the Okinawa Habu. So cool to see one of the family alive and biting! Great segment!
Another great video David 👌 have you ever come across a stiletto snake or had any dealings with one? Foul temperament and an evil venom that can rot bone! Don’t know if you ever saw Myke clarksons bite on his thumb which he lost in the end 🙈

David, you are fortunate indeed. A beautiful woman that tolerates your passion for herping and one hella good sport after taking a nasty bite from a wolf snake! Wow! That was one large snake. This is at the 22:43 mark of your video. Japan is an interesting Country although I personally wouldn't want to live in a Country that didn't want me there.
Thank you John - I couldn’t agree more! I probably wouldn’t choose to live there either, but mostly because although there are some insane snakes, the variety isn’t as great as elsewhere. I just think I’d get bored fairly quick haha. I actually found Japan to be very welcoming towards foreigners, as long as you familiarize yourself with their culture in advance in order not to seem rude doing certain things which would be completely normal in other countries.
Bad ass you guys went back out and got the holy grail viper for the area . I’m sure sky was like wtf you literally just said she wouldn’t get bit then she did haha you probably slept on the couch that night 🤣🤣

The boots that you are wearing, are they just to keep your feet dry or are they rated for snake bites as well?
Mainly to stay dry and protect against insect bites and thorns. However, they are fairly bite proof for snakes as well.
