This is a very helpful study, however, we can tweak some design solutions that could really be appropriate for the community - geographically, socially, and economically. Yes Filipinos are resilient, especially in terms of self-build and incremental construction. But this process could be implemented better if the local community along with NGOs and LGUs will come hand-in-hand.
Overall, great effort! Kudos to the team!

The structures were good and everything but I suggest you take a look at the climate of our country and try to reflect the observations to the structures. We experience strong winds and heavy rains that triggers flood that’s why most of the houses here have long eaves and are elevated . Also the use of solid wood or wood frame construction is expensive work and materials , the middle class cannot even afford it , how much more for the informal settlers..

I think also guys consider the climate, hot , humid, heavy rains. Houses should have over hanging roofs. Also the materials to be use. during summer it’s very hot.
