I am Kenya born and Schooled in Eldoret. I lied in Uganda and Taganyika and Zanzibar. I want to go back to Mombasa in November for my 75th birthday. My Swahili is pretty good for a Mzungu. I long to speak it again. Kimvita au Unguja. Afiya sio nzuri sana shauri ya moyo yango. Hapana fakiri ta rudi, lazima. Baba yangu ali fariki Mwingi mwaka sabini na saba.
I was born in Nairobi left Kenya in 1964 cane back to Mombasa as visitor in 1984 stayed here for six weeks returned in 1986 for two week that was my last visit to Mombasa, l love to visit again, my heart is in Mombasa❤❤❤
Nyali is Mombasa's equivalent of Westlands, Nairobi. It is mostly a middle class neighborhood, with all the amenities - including office space, shopping centers and malls, et al.. - that you would find in Westlands. However, the rich in Mombasa live in Shanzu, Vipingo, Kizingo, and farther out in Kilifi county, in the expanding Mombasa metro area.
Kizingo and Nyali is where all the rich n mighty live, Nyali the whole of Moyne driver Uhuru owns like half the beachfront private residence, his mother and even the Deputy president lives those sides. Thats why the whole lane is called Kenyatta road, u cant access that area its full of army guarding the area, no idlers aloud. Museveni also owns a huge beachfront in nyali too, Shanzu is full of hotels, less residentials.
if govner 001 lives there, raila has a home there, how is it a middle class neighborhood!!.. i think lets not confuse nyali estate with nyali constituency
Watching from West Virginia USA .W;here I live we dont have cities like Mombassa but if you go to a place like south Fla there are place like MIami that resemble somehow.
Dolphin 🐬 I enjoyed watching 👀 your video and enjoyed. 88 years ago I was born in Mombasa and my child year played in Mombasa old town. Youth age going to Bamburi beach via Nyali. Since last 51 years I am living in London England. Before Corvid I use to come to Mombasa staying Royal Court Hotel. Inshalla very soon wish to come to Mombasa and go to Nyali. Many thanks.
Don’t say nyali say nyali estate!for those saying nyali isn’t for the rich they should know that without a 100m and above you can’t own a home isn’t that rich neighborhood???I live here
Mombasa my city looks good, but next time show the actual buildings as you move.Nyali is for the middle class, nowerdays Kizingo,Vipingo and Kilifi is a place to find the rich in Mombasa
Wewe saa zingine tumia akili, the video is about Mombasa, is Vipingo and Kilifi in Mombasa? I live in Nyali. The place where there lots of apartments that's New Nyali, and that's where the middle class stay. But the rich live in original Nyali which spans all the way from Nyali Beach, Oliender Drive, Kenyatta Drive etc, ata pia uko nyuma ya Barracks. Hizo sides a 5 bedroom house goes for more than 100 million shillings. Can a middle class afford that? Wewe haujui Nyali vizuri. Umezoea iyo Nyali ya uko City mall na Nyali Centre, kwa clubs.
Thank you for touring my CITTTTYYY. One underrated thing about MSA it is our nightlife. Next time you are around, let us make this happen. I hope that will be soon. No one ever gets tired of visiting msa
I injoy what you have shown us already and mombasa is most beautiful city more than any other cities accept nairobi thank you keep showing beautiful places in our country ❤
Good job. I am watching you from the U S A.I love the beautiful environment the trees, the blue and white colors. All African cities should be neatly arranged and developed. We have more than what UT takes to do that. Thanks for your time.
Amazingly Beautiful, Neat clean & so develop side of the Rich of NYALI Mombasa 👍🏻👍🏻🌹 thanks for sharing 👍🏻 God Bless you Lady 🎉 Sohail Karachi Pakistan ❤️🌹👍🏻
I’m watching you from USA. I have been going back and fourth to Mombasa since last year. I was there from March to June this year in Nyali and I love it. I would definitely be back again next year Inshaallah.
Hi Dolphine......... Thanks for showing the views from the city of Mombasa........Mombasa is also looking green as other parts of Kenya and i hope it always remains greener because greenery is kenya's beauty..........I like Kenya and Kenyan People..........Just randomly got this video because I always tried to search about Kenya on TH-cam and TH-cam suggested me this video and i certainly impressed and i immediately subscribed your Channel..........Lots of love to you from Gujarat, India........!
I grew up in my home town Mombasa in the late forties, fifties, and early sixties. I intimately remember the old Nyali. On crossing Nyali floating bridge, turning left would take you to Bamburi Beach, some six miles away, and turning right would take you to 'English Point' and straight on would be undeveloped, rural Nyali at that time. Back then, a simple stone house was a novelty in Nyali. Generally speaking, Nyali seems to have developed in the way one would expect in a town that has grown economically. It would be useful if you included a map of the Nyali area so that we got an idea of where we are. Most of the buildings are attractive. Cannot say how well the high rises fit in with the scenery. One positive is that the road margins are well maintained and attractive, and the absence of garbage all along the highways is a miracle when compared with other comparable countries. Hope to visit Mombasa again.
You must be in your 80s. I worked in Mombasa in 1981 and Nyali was still Bush then, with Puff Adder snakes of such girth that you could not run them over with a small car. Land was going at less than KShs 50,000/acre. Today I work in Mombasa and live in Nyali. Land, if you can find it, goes for over KShs 500 million/acre. Make an effort to visit Mombasa again and see the magnificent projects developed by President Uhuru Kenyatta, which include Standard Gauge Railway Terminal, Dongo Kundu Bridge and its approaches from Mombasa Road, Dual Carriageway Makupa bridge and its approaches from Changamwe Roundabout (Now a complex flyover). You can view much of this on Google Earth Maps, but it would be better to visit and see it live. That 6 mile drive to Bamburi is now being developed into a Dual Carriageway highway, from Nyai Bridge all the way to Mtwapa and beyond. Mombasa is magnificent these days. The only Problem is Water Supply, which we are trying to solve. Have a good day.
Born and raised on 2nd ave, I wish you had seen nyali back in the early 90’s. It was heaven. Single residential homes, lush lawns and NO freakin apartments.

Am watching from Ghana 🇬🇭 the fact is Kenya 🇰🇪 will soon take over all the African countries
Keep dreaming this city can't match to any south African cities, imean south it's far developed that you can compare to Europe..
I was born in Nairobi left Kenya in 1964 cane back to Mombasa as visitor in 1984 stayed here for six weeks returned in 1986 for two week that was my last visit to Mombasa, l love to visit again, my heart is in Mombasa❤❤❤

Born and raised on 2nd ave, I wish you had seen nyali back in the early 90’s. It was heaven. Single residential homes, lush lawns and NO freakin apartments.
