- I love these UV Resin Keep Sake using hair. It is great for when someone passes away and you want to preserve their memory or when you a child has their first hair cut and you want to keep it and make it special. I take you step by step in this video tutorial how to do it and make it gorgeous! If you are a beginner with UV Resin or have been doing it for a while there is something you can glean from this jewelry/key chain making tutorial.

This is also a great idea to do for people who lost a pet. My daughter just lost both of her dogs within 3 weeks of each other.

Great video but I wanted to make something for a dog that my friend recently lost. Daffodil had short hair and shed constantly. I only have like 1/4” long hair so not sure how to approach it.
I’m pleased to pray for you. When things in my life seemed more than I could handle I always prayed and gave it up to the Lord. Even at my darkest times He has never failed me. Praying that this all works out for your family because your a good person. This will work out. ❤
It really doesn’t take much hair at all. Much less than you would think.

The length should not matter much. You can also lengthen the fur locks, by sort of pulling the hairs up from each other, but stopping as you get halfway up the shaft of the fur. If that makes sense? You can also, start to twist it from there, to lock it all in place, and continue as you go. I'm so sorry, I wish so bad to be able to explain this better, but my English is not very good, so my choice of words are limited for now. A more helpful option for you would be to look up how to make rope from natural fibers, such as rope from grass. The videos showing how to make rope from grass would give you a much better example of how to make longer length with short pieces of fiber. You can also just use them as is, and lay the fur out in little cross hatching patterns. Making criss cross, lines/stripe patterns, or make a scene,using the short fur fibers. You can draw a little dog or another animal, and use the short hairs to make whiskers, or a tail. It doesn't have to look like whats made here or by anyone else. You have many options. I wish you the best luck! And I truly hope your daughter can get comfort from these

I have done this with my brothers hair using UV....however the issue i am having is the ring i am using has a large face surfacr and i am having issues with it getting scratches or scuffs easily...is there a type of resin or epoxy i can use over the doming UV resin to create a hard top surface topcoat to help with scratches ???? Please...
Ughh that is the worst. I am having the same problem and don't know exactly how to fix it. I think you can buff it out but I don't know the process for that. I have buffed out imperfections because of the mold I was using for Epoxy and I think you could do the same thing? But I am not confident. I used a Dremel and a blue polishing compound from harbor freight and buffed out my imperfections.

Can you do this with regular resin
What is regular resin. Are you talking about epoxy? If so then yes
It might be harder because the hair will want to float so you will have to do it in layers.
