Paint a Scottish Landscape in Watercolour

A Scottish landscape of Plockton the Jewel of the Scottish Highlands. The small village is located in the north west coast of Scotland about 80 miles from Skye. The watercolour painting has lots of depth and a range of different brush strokes. This is an ideal watercolour painting for beginners to watch and learn.

I love how with a few simple (seemingly) non descript ( if that's the right word) lines of colour, you can add texture and variation to an area in just the right places

Hi Colin thanks for your kind reply.As they say sometimes less is more. The water part is a good example where I just used a few broken edge strokes( paint with very little water) to help create some feeing of water.
