Even better being the moment he says it, he actually gains the silence he seeks with the music cutting off.
The dialogue of this entry to the series is superb.
Facts.
Although having played through it again recently, there aren't nearly enough cutscenes to flesh out the story and give it real weight; can tell this was rushed out of the door.
Judge Gabranth is more Darth Vader like than Golbez. Gabranth redeems himself by trying to stop Vayne, but Gabranth's malice stood no chance against Vayne's power and dies. Golbez doesn't die, unless you don't have the full Harvey bloodline in The After Years when you face Cecil's Dark Knight counterpart that was sealed.
But is he more Golbez then Leon?
The all game is ridicolously similar to Star Wars.

Yup. In my opinion I'd put Vossler behind Cid and Reddas. I really HATED how he betrayed us and Basch, but that's my opinion.
The Unstable Brony There is a small Manga of ff12 that was released a long time ago. It only gets to vossler's death but it shows why he betrayed them. Basically he was left with no where else to turn and his hands were tied.

The only way that I can do this bossfight justice imo is to only have Basch fight Gabranth.

Is it just me or they have buffed Gabranth in this version ? He seems to do way more damage than before and being a little bit tankier.
I don't know. It looks like everything was buffed (which is a good thing, given how easy the game was).
But, just to be sure, try Trial Gabranth.
When he uses enrage he increases combo rate+dmg, thats why
I notice that too. I like it this way. I somehow defeated him too fast in the vanilla
FFXII let me live my fantasy of having Basch fighting Gabranth 1 v 1 and Ashe fighting Vayne (1st form) 1 v 1. I love this game.
I just found out that Gabranth was played by the same actor as C. Junior in Thomas and the Magic Railroad.

Naaah in comparison to 13/14/15 this game was good.

Story was a bit convoluted tbh, but gameplay wise it was 100% the best and nothing comes close even to this day.

Also this game (XII) is not just "good in comparison" but is a masterpiece in its own right.

My brother and I... both 0311 rifleman in the Corps.... he's in prison now and im going for my PhD......it never mattered when he was drunk and we had a fist fight we beat the ever living hell out of each other while the kids opened presents....even now him being sober its honestly so much better. We actually talk about our Afghanistan experiences.......his ptsd and alcoholism destroyed his family and life and sent him to prison........"have you your fill of this....I would ask you the same let this end Cory....the difference I am the youngest brother...he still can't bear to say that his kid brother Cody was right. Jordie Madison That makes a lot of sense considering the two hail from a country that wasn’t part of the dynast-kings influence. They were citizens of Landis before the Empire took over. I love the attention to detail.

Well, from what I can tell, he *is* the stand-in for Darth Vader in this story which shares a lot in common with Star Wars.

Was vaan even the main character for this game?
He was created later in the development of the game.
I consider him a passive character and the character that the game uses a means to kick the plot into gear.
The way I saw FF12 was that Vaan is the starting main character, then it shifts to Ashe, and lastly more towards Balthier and Basch halfway through.
Penelo and Fran are the most side of side characters in the game and their story threads end the quickest.
I love all the characters of this game! The team who did all this project works beautifully! I hope they can give us Vagrant Story Remake someday! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

He's the PoV character, not the main character. The "main" character is Ashe - she drives the plot, her goals and position are what influence the development of the story. To a lesser extent Basch is a main character, but Vaan/Penelo are our entrance into the world. It's like when shows introduce a character who isn't privy to the world, so they act as a reason to explain the mechanics, story, and influences.

Emperor Mateus (FFII Main Antagonist) is an ff logo as well. Also, golbez on the ds version of ffiv.

I noticed that too. Definitely ruins that point. Too bad as this scene is one of my favourites from the game and the music at that specific point really made an impact. I think they let you choose the old soundtrack in the options at least.

3 times i have done this fight, once on the original, twice in the remake. I want to beat this mans without having to res basch or summon a esper just so i don't waste aome time healing but i can't. My basch is a knight/Shikari.

For me, Gabranth is the real main antagonist.

Kind of. Gabranth is *literally* Darth Vader. Complete with the mask, the inner conflict and blood relation to one of the heroes. And the face turn at the end.

I always have 2-3 of the 6 characters with gambits for Haste and Regen set at highest priority. Haste is busted, no reason not to use it.

given the mechanics for the IZJS version that the remake is made from, Yiazmat isn't nearly as long...
you can speed up the fight and break 4 digit damage....

It does. And I love it
It was Xenoblade one before Xenoblade became a thing! When I first got the Xenoblade back on the Wii oh, I enjoyed and was able to quickly Master it's systems because of Final Fantasy 12! Quite funny how I have both games, Xenoblade 1 definitive Edition that is and Xenoblade 2 all on the same system. My switch! Being able to play and enjoying with no trouble anywhere I fucking want to play! The only thing the PS4 version had was slightly prettier Graphics... But I was never the type to put Graphics over gameplay and story! And have you seen the original Final Fantasy 12 on the PS2 much less the original Xenoblade 1 on the Wii! I still love those Graphics back then for how they did the best they could and still be able to create some beautiful fit to look at! And their definitive versions on the switch did the one thing I love with remasters when they're done correctly and not lazily. They improved on everything, and fix the annoying things from the original! Even though xc1 Definitive Edition is more like a remake then a remaster it still counts
