Twelve Etudes for Children (No.6 Moonlight Nocturne)

This etude is designed to help you master the playing of 2 against 3 throughout the piece. Understanding the type of polyrhythm will make playing the piece easier. The texture of this piece consistently features three layers: the melodies are in the right hand and should always be emphasized, shaped beautifully. The left hand plays triplets as an accompaniment for most of the piece, often containing hidden short motifs that imitate the main melody of the right hand.
