I’ve found the best way to mount the xlx2 and keep your radio tray intact is to remove the cooling fan cover/guard, use mounting screws to hold esc, and raise the rear body pins 1 notch. Only slight trimming of the tray was required to make it sit parallel to the chassis and the body shell fits nicely.
coming along nicely Earl..... no matter what the issue that rears its ugly head ... you always seem to find a way to make it work in a way that people would believe is from the factory..... and you always "clean up" any and all wiring that's necessary ..... Your build style is honestly the perfect way of explaining things to guys like me who are still learning the hobby.... at the risk of being redundant ..... thank you for sharing....
Looks like another nice and clean build Earl!! Great job as always!! I've never had a Limitless yet, but when I do I will be referencing these Limitless builds you do for sure as I'm working through it!! I really can wait to see you ripping this down the road!! 💯💯😉
Now you have shown it you can see the Velcro won’t make any difference. The release date for the v2 has been pushed back again in the Uk to late September so no one here has seen one yet. You 🇺🇸 guys have bought them all up.
You just need to cut the switch and solder the two wires together and it’s permanently in the on position, just need to disconnect batteries to turn it off
I wonder if you could cut out a square the size of the ESC fan and sit the body down on it letting the ESC fan pull in cool outside air and letting the body sit lower? I mean, I’m not sure if it would look good or not, leaning towards not but it could look pretty trick and custom. I’m assuming this is for function over aesthetics though so may not matter?
I made some holes in that esc holder used one layer of double sided tape ( for a bit of padding) and screwed 4 screws into the esc from under. Body fits fine. But where the body did hot was full lock with a scorched steering arm. 🤔 they made it look like on the arrma utube ad / reveal. That the xlx2 fit no problem. I had to take those angled tabs off like you did. Another funny thing is we’re doing the same build. I’ve had an 1100 sitting around for months. Good luck with your runs
Great I really appreciate you sharing and showing how to do it the proper way to install The ESC and not just hacked up. Your way is very clean and neat 👍🏻 thank you for sharing with the problems with the V2. Thanks 🙏
Well so much for the "new & improved" ESC mount. I would say from the look of things it would work just fine with a different body style, like the full body cars most speed guys run.
Nice and clean! I’m currently struggling with the same issue of the ESC hitting the body. Any durability issues with cutting the receiver/ESC tray apart as far as the servo is concerned?

Man I'm going to have to look back on all the "old videos" for tips on getting my V1 roller up to speed. Love hate with new Version releases

Wow!!! Amazing to see the build come together!!
Glad you got the esc lowered without having to do much .
I wouldn't use them tires ,use foams for speedrun's ,those tires look nice but blowout easily
Oookay, love the power button removal.
Sweet build and great tips! Thanks Earl💯💯👊🏻👊🏻
Great video you always help people come up with the best solutions 👊👊💯💯

Did you change your rear dif for bigger wheels
Wheels are not taller there the same overall size as front wider won’t change the overall gear ratio
@@earlmoorhead5555 the reason I ask is because the front are not as wide as the rear
@@kj4x4couple7 yes there staggered but the same height

Dang it u k always last 👀
Earl just wondering if armma recommends a specific esc and would it have the same issue.
Spectrum 160 amp esc but there no good on speed runs
Mr. Details
So you don’t need an esc on off switch.
Nah it doesn’t even cut the power supply
It’s basically just a bec on off switch because even in the off position the esc is still pulling power
You just need to cut the switch and solder the two wires together and it’s permanently in the on position, just need to disconnect batteries to turn it off

Released while I was away. Number 22. That sucks after two consecutive top fives.
what diff oil do you use and do you use lockers

Even with my esc sitting on the chassis the fan still hits the body
